Danaerys was a lovely teen, she had plans for the future, she is only 17 with her whole life ahead of her. But now her plans have been put on hold, because of one word.

Zombies.

It happened a year ago on the 4th of September. She remembers that date well, but not for anything important, solely because it's the date the world ended. She woke up, ready for college, as she usually would. However when she got outside her day took an unexpected turn.

Instead of making her way to college, she was running for her life. Until she ran into someone from College she had never met before. Mark. She knew who he was, she just never spoke to him. That was until today, as they were both furiously running from zombies.

"Hi!" Danaerys says while running away from the horde of zombies following them behind, "I'm Danaerys."

"I'm Mark, It's nice to meet you." Mark replies. He knew who she was. She was the pretty girl in school. He was a jock, but he wasn't the typical jock. "I bet you didn't expect to be running away from a horde of zombies with me. Did you?" He asks. It wasn't what he expected.

"No, I really didn't. I was all prepared for college. To go learn and then come home and just relax. Turns out my plans are ruined." Danaerys replies, sighing loudly.

There was something no one knew about Mark, and that is that he's a Nerd. A huge nerd. He is obsessed with zombies, and zombie related films, or TV shows, as well as other TV shows related to fantasy and horror. Watching so many zombie TV shows and films should make him a natural at surviving a zombie apocalypse. But he'll just have to see how he can handle it.

Danaerys then had a sudden thought. What about her friends? What about her family? She'd left the house that morning but hadn't gone back for her mother, father or brother and sister. She left her best friends to fend for themselves, and what about her cat? Her cat can't survive by itself.

Suddenly she turns to Mark, "We have to go back!" she shouts urgently. "We have to!"

Mark looks behind them and sees the horde of zombies coming their way, "Danaerys, I don't think that's a good idea. We're being followed by a horde of zombies. If we go back we'll be walking into a death zone, it's possible we'd die before getting back to town." He says, trying to persuade her not to go.

"I don't care. Don't you have family and friends you need to go back for, what about pets? We can't do this, survive, just the two of us, we need more people." Danaerys points out, knowing their chances of survival alone is slim.

Marks looks back, he suddenly realises that, Yes, he does have people, and animals, he needs to go back for. But he also realises the danger he'd be putting himself in. He had decided if this situation happened he wasn't going to go back to get his friends, family, or pets, but now he's actually in the situation he cant help but think about going back, he can't leave them.

Mark looks at Danaerys, then looks behind them, contemplating going back. He looks around and sees a forest. From watching The Walking Dead he knows a forest or wooded area could be the best, and worst possible place to go. But knowing he has to go back he turns to Danaerys, "Danaerys, we should go through the wooded area," he whispers, "We'll need to be careful, since there could be twigs that snap, but we can get through."

They run towards the forest, Mark looks back and sees a few zombies have broken off to follow them but the rest are continuing forwards. For now.

They step forwards deeper and deeper in the forest area. Slowly but surely they continue through. However Danaerys and Mark both step on twigs.

CRACK.

The snapping of the twigs echo through the forest seeming to get louder and louder as it echos through. Suddenly a large rustling is heard towards the edge and a group of zombies break through in front of them. They can hear zombies all around.

They're trapped.
