"Let it go/Let it roll right off your shoulder/Don’t you know/The hardest part is over/Let it in /Let your clarity define you/In the end /We will only just remember how it feels/0ur lives are made/In these small hours/These little wonders/These twists and turns of fate/Time falls away/But these small hours/These small hours still remain" - Rob Thomas – Little Wonders

I awoke the stirring beneath me and crackle and crunch of sand between my toes and everywhere else all over my body. A small smile played along my lips at the warmth not only radiating above me along my naked back but also the warmth seeped into me from my front. I sighed snuggling furthermore into the comfort and warm embrace that was so smooth. Something or someone rather sighed before their fingers rubbed circular patterns along my shoulder blades as they pressed their lips to the crown of my head.

They moved a bit more and I could hear the squeak of the sand as the rays of sunlight caressed me making me feel so light and warm to the core. “Stop moving.” I whined wrapping my arms tighter around them as if I could keep them still.

“Cute.” He chuckled as he brushed the hair from my face, making my face tickle and a smile to spread across my lips.

It wasn’t until I heard a seagull fly over top that my eyes flew opened as I gasped “Oh my god! What happens if we get caught?”I cried mortified at the possibility as I glanced around at the deserted beach. All I could picture right now was the possible media headlines which made my heart pump harder and my face to flush a darker shade of crimson.

It was Hayden’s face that he palmed on the side of my face that made me glance up at him from where I was nestled in the middle of his chest. I smiled faintly at him and he smiled at me with amusement at my reaction. “This is exactly how I pictured it.” He murmured softly.

My brow furrowed as I rested my chin on the centre of his chest, my palms flat down on his chest as his hand kept on the side of my face and also slightly tangled in my hair as I leant into his amazing touch. “Pictured what?” I murmured softly.

He smiled at me faintly “Waking up the next morning with you and for your first words to be of you worrying about being caught.” He said amused.

I gasped again as reality hit me, again. How did he keep doing that? No matter what circumstances I was in he managed to make me forget and bring me away from it all. I sat up slightly still resting on his chest as I glanced around hastily at the private beach to see no peeping eyes. Yet, for all we know they could have been when we were asleep. I grimaced at how mortifying and yet exciting the chance of being caught was, was that wrong?

Glancing back down at Hayden I pushed the hair from his eyes unable to source words that would suffice what last night meant to me but grasping for the most obvious. “I love you.” I whispered softly as I ran my fingers through his hair.

Hayden turned his face into my touch making his lips press into the inside of my wrist “If I could wake up to this every morning I’d be the happiest man in the world.” He murmured softly.

I smiled faintly at what a sight we’d be, both lying naked in the slope of the sand with myself curled into his chest as a blanket as the sunlight rays ran behind the back of my head and slithering through my tangled and sandy hair. Sand clung to every inch of me and I felt gritty, dirty and yet loved and cleansed beyond belief.

“What do you mean if?” I teased.

Hayden chuckled as he placed his lips to my temple “Come on beautiful, let’s get off this beach before people do start coming out.” He murmured gently.

I pouted “Do we have to? I'm comfy.” I protested in a whine.

“Nice try cutie.” He chortled as he ran his thumb along my bottom swollen lip making me smile under his intent gaze. “C’mon, we can have a shower and clean up before finding out what happened on your mum’s end.”
