Chapter 31.

We walk past them to another door, much more grand than the one we had just passed. We walk in and I see upon the throne someone I have only seen in pictures, someone who is supposed to be dead, someone from my past.

There upon the throne sat the one and only Fiona Crimson. My mother.

Chapter 31.

"Lainey Crimson, I finally meet you" The queen muses, smirking at me, "Well you’ve met me before if I remember correctly, you just decided to leave and not contact me til now." I say harshly through gritting teeth, ‘Master’ tugs at my leash, "That is not the way to treat our queen!" he shouts at me, "You are released, leave her here." She tells ‘Master’. He nods and leaves after unhooking my leash, "Luck little pet." he says and winks at me then leaves.

"Lainey I didnt want to but I would have hurt you, I was not suitable to be your mother. But I tried to help and protect you the best I could." she finally says, breaking the silence that was left when ‘Master’ left the room. "What do you mean?" I asks her uncertain, "Deverish, Zachary, Mathew, Jacob Daniel, and Jackel." she lists, "How were they to protect me?" I demand, "Deverish is your main protector, of course werewolves are the best at that. And Zachary? His mother is the goddess of humans! Mathew and Jacob Daniel are just vampires, but they are awful useful. Jackel is your uncle actually! I sent Deverish, but then you got a talent, and since Jackel was able to be a manager he decided to go, and since being with any horny teenage guys, yet alone being with horny teenage rockstars, worried me I sent Jacob Daniel and Mathew. Zachary came in on his own, I have no idea why, but now it complicates things." she says.

"Well do you know where I can get some clothes?" I ask, "Tara! Bring some clothes!" my mother says and a young woman with mocha skin and tan hair walks into the room and hands me a sundress. I put it on over what I have on and it looks okay, "So your not freaked out?" my mom asks. "Well not really, but I am going to rip every hair off of Deverishs head next time I see him just because he didnt tell me." I say.

"Now what did you mean earlier about Zac complicating things?" I demand. "Well...You kinda have to marry a vampire here." she says, "Why?" I ask her, "Because on Zacs 22 birthday he’s gone forever." she says, "Oh." I say for a second, shell shocked. "So how am I going to find someone to marry?" I ask, "There is going to be a ball soon. Jacob Daniel and Mathew will be there as body guards and Zac will be will his mom and Deverish will be back at home." she answers. "And where will I be getting my dress?" I ask, "the tailor will make it for you, he has your measurements." my mom replys, "And where will I be staying?" I ask, "Tara will show you the way." she says and Tara takes my hand and leads me to a room on the far side of the place. "This is where you’ll be staying til you have married." she says, "Need anything call, but not to loudly to draw attention." she finishes and leaves me to my own.

[Zacs POV]

I walk into the vast room and there sits several thrones, on one sits my mother, Queen of Humans, in the second sits my uncle, King of Vampires, in the next sits my Aunt, queen of Witches, and in the fourth sits my father, King of Werewolves. I am the next successor of the throne of were’s, which was not my choice. "Hello Zachary!" my uncle says in delight, my aunt(who is only 10) jumps from her throne and runs over to me and gives me a hug, "Zachys back!" she shouts with joy, my parents seem less thrilled. "Zachary" they say from their seats, "You are from now on banned from seeing Lainey Crimson." my father says, shattering my whole world...

Jakes POV]

We sit there around the table when we hear the news, "Lainey is in my kingdom, you and Mathew must depart to be here by the time of the ball to be her body guards." the queen says, her voice straining through the phone. "Will do m’am" I tell her and hang up the phone. "Matt" I call out, my voice ringing throughout the house, "Yes love?" he asks, "We have to go see Lainey, we are her body guards for her ball." I reply, "Kay, I’ll start packing." he replies and gives me a quick kiss then goes to pack.

I sigh, Matt didnt have a life growing up in the kingdom, but I did, it’s a horrible place for humans, and that includes Faith. I get out my cell phone and dial a familiar number,

Unknown: Hello?

Jake: Hey, I need to ask you to do a favor for me

Unknown: And that would be?

Jake: Kristopher can you watch your niece for a while?

Kristopher: Sure, I guess. Why?

Jake: Personal business, thanks for doing this

Kristopher: I’ll pick her up in half an hour, okay?

Jake: K, thanks again

I hang up my phone and breath a sigh of relief, Faith would be safe during our trip. "Jake who were you talking to?" Matt asks, suddenly appearing behind me. "Krisopher, he will be watching Faith while we are gone." I answer him, "Why arent we bringing her with us?" he asks, "Because the castle isnt a safe place Matt, its horrible, it must’ve scared the crap out of Lainey to have woken up there alone in a dark room not knowing what is going on." I say, close to tears. "How do you know about the castle Jake?" Matt asks, "I lived in it, before I met you I was one of those’s guys in the wing of the castle where Lainey awoke, and it was not pretty, not pretty at all." I answer with a sigh, this is not good.
