Waking along I found a little friendly stream. Fish flipping out of the water and turtles bathing in the morning sun. Why were the fish flipping out of the water and swimming the other way so fast? I thought to myself. I looked down stream to the left where all of them were coming from.
A big brown grizzly bear looking into the water for fish to jump out. Turning his head towards my direction, the bear started to get up and move. Moving towards me, he started opening his mouth to show his teeth.
Looking directly into his black pupils I started to panic and run the other way. With my tail between my legs and my ears folded all the way down I was in my panic mode. Speedily running, dodging all of the big granite rocks I leaped over the moving stream and was on the other side still running.
Running a few miles I started to stop and take a breath looking back cautiously I did not see the bear. I started to lay down when I was panting like crazy. Laying in the fresh Kentucky blue grass I started to observe my surroundings. Pretty male Cardinal birds started flying over me to the nearest trees. The trees almost completely bare stood still while the cardinals were perched still on its branches. There were Canadian geese flocking over head also who were migrating to the south.
I started to transform and walk away where I found a empty den. It looked like it hasn't been used for years. I cleared out all the spider webs and started to get settled. I sat down in a corner furthest away from the entrance and pick up my necklace. I ran my fingers across the unique design in the moon. Looking in the orb I could see my siblings each in a different state. My sister was in Florida while my brother was in Canada. Missing them badly, tears started to run down my cheeks and into the rich soil beneath me.
I walked calmly out of the den and started looking for food. I stalked a fluffy grey rabbit that was eating flowers. I transformed and started charging at the rabbit. Chasing it all around the field I started to get exhausted. The exhaust made me more hungry. I started to sprint faster and faster and sooner than you knew it the rabbit was in my jaws being carried to the den. I found out that my parents have taught me well because the someday they said was today and now I am a skilled hunter.
When the moon started to rise my body started tingling and my eyes kept flashing on and off. I had the sort of feeling that something bad was going to happen. I looked outside and the moon was the same size crescent as my necklace. My necklace started to lift off on my furry chest and into the air. The moon shown through the design on the necklace and made a shadow that looked like a path.
The orb started changing colors, from red to blue, from blue to purple.
" what does this mean?" I asked myself out of curiosity.
" is it a map of where I am going?"
Fog started to surround me and I could hear near by howls from other packs. I saw 8 glowing eyes through the thick fog.
" who are you?" I growled. They started to surround me and crowd me. They all jumped out at the same time and ripped open my skin. Pain as this happened was the worst you could ever feel. All of the sudden I could see the beautiful pink sky as the sun was rising. Frantically looking all over my body I could see no open wounds or flesh.
The necklace must have healed me because I remember it as if it was real. All of those black samari wolves were attacking me. Here I am half alive thanks to my parents for protecting me with this necklace.
I walked on for hours as if I was used to it. Walking miles and miles across many different terrains my paws started to hurt very badly. Right when I had about one more hour to go I had to just step in a rose bush. I transformed in pain and started pulling every single thorn out of my legs and foot. There was maybe about 30 thorns total that I have pried out of my feet. Looking at my foot I saw many blisters and bruises. When j transformed back into wolf I could hear my sister and brother howling in harmony.
Wishing to be with my family I still had a long journey ahead of me. Starting up again I walked on and on. Through a hot desert. Until I found a sign that said welcome to Arizona. That sign surprisingly made my day. When I got closer to humans I changed to one. My hair a mess but oh well people will have to get used to it.
My jeans ripped to shreds and my shirt, let's say it's in the worst shape.
Walking around the cities I saw many teenagers on phones texting their friends. The one glare that a girl gave me was not pleasant at all. With her hair in a high pony and way too much makeup on she would have been my worst nightmare.
Looking through windows of stores I looked like a hopeless kid who would haunt people forever. The side walks were very busy and crowded. This place reminded me of New York.
" Watch where you are going!" A boy with a southern accent yelled at me. I looked in his eyes with a sad expression.
" I'm sorry my lady, would you like new clothes?"
I nodded my head yes and he grabbed my arm and pulled me into his grandpas store. The boy had long black hair and a mysterious confused expression.
