I can hear them talking about it. Sex. Its everywhere. I'm sitting there next to these giggly girls, because I have to, and they're talking about this party. I hate this lesson, I mean it's not like I need biology to teach English. But I hear them, and listen in to their conversation, apparently one of them hooked up with another boy in our class, I look over to him now, talking to one of his mates, rolling a fag under the table, any bet they are talking about the same thing.
I realise that I am daydreaming and get my head down to carry on with my work, I must be the only one completing this, I mean we have exams coming up soon, we need this extra revision class. I finish the last question and get up to get the mark scheme from the front desk. One of the boys trips me up, not sure who he is, one of the smart chavs that nobody knows how he got into the class. The girls erupt into fits of laughter. I really don't understand them, I get up and brush myself off. I can't deal with this. I just want to get home and read till I fall asleep.
Finally the bell goes marking the end of the day. I unlock my bicycle and slip on my black helmet. I slip my shorts on under my school skirt and mount my bike, plugging in my head phones as I push off and start the long, 10 mile ride home, through the rush hour London traffic.
