FRONT COVER IS WHAT CASSANDRA LOOKS LIKE
The villagers were all crowded round the notice board, as soldiers went past every post hammering a new wanted poster. It was a faded sketch of the hooded man robbing from the Queen. Villagers whispered to each other whispering, snickering, soldiers weren't entirely sure. The high commanding Captain found his way to the stage reading from the scripted document.
"A reward for the hooded thief is a total of a thousand gold coins. Any man or woman helping this outlaw will be jailed and hanged before the town. As well as anyone in sight of the Princess when out of royalty order shall report her to the soldiers immediately" The Captain announced as he was beginning to roll up his script. With the mention of the Princess the town erupted in gossip.
Cassandra Wild, was very much like her father, keen for adventure, brave, loyal and kind to her subjects. Little did the soldiers know that the hooded man saving the town every once in a while was actually Cassandra herself. She was loved by the town in the far far North Kingdom of Middle Earth. Her mother however was a bitter and nasty Queen. Disrespected by her subjects and sometimes even by the soldiers in the gossip.
Everyone was waiting for her to die and for Cassandra to take up the crown where peace and love to could fill the Kingdom once more. Music had been forbidden when her father died as much as fun and all that brought happiness. It pained the young Princess to see her subjects in such pain.
At night a few pubs would open late holding illegal music parties, aware of the soldiers some casted an eye over the subject and imagined it wasn't there. Everyone in the Kingdom was nervous to wonder how the Princess would react to being sentenced to confinement in the Palace grounds. She had a heart that was wild and couldn't be contained. She rebelled against her mother, and the soldiers were knowing that their work would be cut out for them.
Down in the stables in the royal palace, Arthur, Cassandra's best friend was grooming her black stallion Brego. He was humming to himself soothing the wild horse, unaware of the world around him, as he sighed. He barely remembered what life was like when he was free to sing. He had a beautiful voice that was entrapped in his body by the law. He snapped out of his daydream when he heard the sound of chainmail ringing as the Captain of the Guard walked into the stables. He awkwardly bowed to the soldier.
"Where is the Princess?" He asked as Arthur not looking at him in the eye shrugged before the soldier grunted and stormed out. He rolled his eyes and went back to his duty wondering where she was. They had planned to meet over an hour ago, and it wasn't like her to normally be so late. She was normally early or on the exact minute. Where was she? She was lying in the fields on the outskirts of her kingdom, with the clouds and blue sky over her head, and the soft green grass under her back.
Her race were called Epahs pronounced as Ep-ah-z, but they could easily be mistaken for Men. The only different thing about her race was that they could change their size. They were amazing healers, with impeccable sight. They had rather long lives, unless they decided the life of man. Cassandra felt the warm summer breeze on her cheeks as she smiled, glancing back the clouds taking a deep breath she closed her eyes imagining her father.
"If you were with me now
I'd find myself in you
If you were with me now
Your the only one who knew
All the things we planned to do
I want to live my life
The way you said I would
With courage as my light
Fighting for what's right
