Chapter 2 - He is back

So, Hey, I'm skiping a year in the story so not to make it boring or anything, but it will help in making the story more interesting and exciting and someone's back. ;)

One year later. . . 





"Do you know how long we've been waiting for you?" Paree said when Arianna finally showed up.

"I'm sorry." she said, looking at us appologetically.

"Okay, let's go already, we're late." I said trying to hide my annoyance.

I hate being late. I don't know what had happened to Arianna, because she's is almost always late nowadays. We got to school and were walking through hallway on our way to class when right at that time our Principal walked out of his office.

"Why are you girls still in the hallway? Class started fifteen minutes ago." he said, looking at his watch.

"We were late, Sir."Paree answered him.

"Okay, get to your class now." he said to us sternly.

We nodded and began walking to our class in hurry, we were not planning on getting detention.

"Wait..." Did he changed his mind? Are we getting detention? We stopped and turned around to look at him.

"Since you are going to class, maybe you could accompany Mr.Carter to the class too. He is new student." We nodded at him.

Right at that moment a guy walked out of his office. I looked at those deep brown eyes and I couldn't stop staring at him. His black hair was cut short, his skin was pale and flawless, his lips warm and inviting. He was wearing a black T-shirt that fitted him perfectly, and you can guess, the 6-pack underneath it. I took a full look at him and back to his mesmerizing eyes that were free from his nerdy glasses.

Then, I realized something. He is back.

"He is hot." Paree whispered, poking me with her elbow. I couldn't stop the growl that escaped my mouth at her words.

He had a smirk on his face unlike his cute innocent nervous nerdy look like before. God he looked hot now. I turned away from him realizing that everyone must have noticed me staring at him.

"Let's get to class now." Arianna said saving me the embarrasement.

We walked into the class with me and Arianna walking together, and Paree with Noah asking about him.

We got a glare from our English teacher as we walked inside the class. Great, now he hates me.

Noah gave a slip of paper to him, and introduced himself. Almost every girl from our class was listening to every word he was saying, except me who was acting like I was not paying attention to him, and Arianna, who was in her own thoughts while writing in her copy.

After his introduction, he took a seat right next to mine, purposely. Paree was more than excited. She was seated to my left and on her side was Arianna.

Throughout the class, Paree and Noah keep passing notes to eachother and I was right in the middle of them. I know he is doing this on purpose. After class, I just walked out of the class without waiting for Paree and Arianna.

I didn't know where I was goin, but I knew I wanted to be as far away from him as possible. No you don't, my wolf told me.

Oh, could you just shut up? I snapped back at her as I walked into library.

If you think our library is like any other libraries silent, quiet, and vacant place with  barely any people, than your totally wrong. Our library is like dating spot. In each far corner you could see couple making out or random guys and girls flirting around.

Our librarian is a bright and beautiful women in her early twenties, named Erika. She allows us to interact and discuss in the library rather than boring silent rules.

I sat on the farthest chair at a corner. I had my head in my hands.

"Bad day?" Erika said looking at me through her glasses.

"Yup" I looked around the crowed library of ours. My mind began thinking about that day. The day I found out about my mate, the day I rejected him. I had a stab of pain in my heart as I remembered it. How that day this library was deserted, no one was here, unlike today.

"Looks like you are thinking about me."

I looked up to see him standing there, his hands in the pockets of his pant. I looked away giving all my interest in the bookselves of the Encyclopedia section.

"You wish." I knew he was staring at me, even without looking at him, but I refused to meet his gaze and get lost in those mesmerizing eyes.

I stood up aruptly from my chair and ran past him, out of the library. By this point I was running in the hallway that I didn't realized I slammed into someone and fell and kiss the floor, along with the person I slammed into.

"I'm so sorry." I said, embarrassed, trying to help her into a stand and pick up her things that had landed on the floor.

"Uh, it's okay." She said looking down. She was a human. In our school most of the students and teachers were werewolf, but some of them were human.

"Are you alright? I'm really sorry I wasn't looking where I was going."

"It's okay. I'm fine." She said giving me a warm smile.

"I'm Paris." I said with a smile of my own.

"I'm Neena."

"Um..nice to meet you." I said trying to clear the akwardness from the air.

"You too."

"Well I have to be somewhere real quick. Guess I will see you later."

"Sure." I waved at her and made my way to canteen.

I took a seat at our usual table. Paree and Arianna looked up from their conversation at me.

"Where were you?" Paree asked.

"I had something to do in library." I said, not really lying.

"Yeah, like making out with Chase in library."

"Huh? Excuse me, I haven't even seen him today. God knows where is he." I muttered. I looked around the canteen and was disappointed when I was didn't see Noah. Seriously? Did you think he would follow you here after everything you have done to him? My wolf snapped. I just silently ignored her.

"Uh. . . I don't think he came to school today." I said to Paree, if he had have he would already be here, sitting with us.

Last year, ever since I found out about Noah being my mate, I just began avoiding him and started spending more time with my girls. Once, he even asked me if I was not happy with our relationship, which I Oh-So-Greatly lied and told him I was fine, and that I just needed some girls time. Chase  started getting busy with his Alpha trainings and school stuff. He was soon to be the Alpha of our Moonlight Pack, when he turned eighteen. I, on the other hand, started spending most of my time with my girls, Paree and Arianna, either going to a movie, shopping, partying or just gossiping.That's how we began drifting apart. There are still some random convorsations on the phone, at school, home, or at family dinner. Other then that we had grew apart. We are not like the bestfriends we used to be.

"Ahh. . . is there problem between you and Chase?" Paree asked.

"No, uhh. . . I don't know." For the first time I noticed how I didn't have the answer to how Chase and I were doing. There was definately nothing wrong with us, but there was also definately nothing right with us.

I pulled out my phone and texted Chase,"Where are you?"

"What do you mean? I don't know. Did you two have a fight or what?"

My phone beeped and I checked the text from Chase,"Got some work,tell you about it later..xx love you."

I shook my head no at Paree.

"Then.."

"It's just this days we barely see each other." I said to Paree not really explaining things between Chase and I.

"Well, you should plan something to do, for just you two. . . Isn't it a good idea Arianna?" Paree asked Arianna.

"Yeah, I guess," Arianna said, taking a sip of her juice. It was the first word she'd uttered since we've been talking. I don't know what's gotten to her these days. I took a mental note to talk to her about it later.

"Yeah, I'll work on that, thanks." I said, to both of them, though, I wasn't pleased with the idea.

After school, I arrived home and dad was watching T.V. in the living room.
"Hey, kiddo how was school?"

"It was fine, dad."

"Where's Chase?"

"He wasn't at school today. He said he had some stuff to do."

"How are you and Chase?"

"Uhh. . . we're good,dad." I said, looking at dad's penetrating gaze and smiled a little.

"I hope there's no problem between you two. You two barely hangout together nowadays." He said suspiciously like he knows whats going on between us.

"Nothing is wrong between us dad. He is just busy with Alpha trainings and stuff." I said to him slowly.

"That's good. He is already taking on his responsibility, you two should be able to understand each other. That's what makes a Good Alpha couple." and there he goes again.

Before he could start with how Chase and I are good for each other I left the room, saying I had tons of homework.

My mind flickered to the whole day day. A mate who disappeared for a year now, suddenly comes back looking all hot. How you realise you and your boyfriend are having problems until everyone points out. I tried thinking of the plans for just me and Chase, but my mind keeps wandering over to Noah and our earlier encounter in the library. Where had he gone for these past year and why the hell is he back now? With these thoughts in my mind I drifted of to sleep dreaming of my mate.

IA.N.:- So hey I finally finished the second chapter phewww....... It's not the best chapter, but what can I say? I'm too hyper to think. This story is in #943 in Werewolf. *Does a little twirl in the air* I'm so happy right now that I can't contain myself. Hehe.
