Hakeem spun me around and shook me. "Who the fuck is he?" The words clogged up in my throat. "My um... he's my um-" Hakeen cut me off. "You can explain on your way home." I gripped his wrist tightly. "Just don't mention this to my dad." "Well tell me who he is." I questioned if I should have told him but I was scared of his reaction. I couldn't believe that after five years, Zeke was really back. By the time I snapped back to reality, I was in Hakeem's car.
"Whats his name?"
"Zeke Edwards"
"That name sounds familiar."
"Ion think you know him."
"Who is he to you?"
"Just somebody from the past."
"Just tell me who the nig-"
"Leave it alone, Hakeem!"
The car jolted to a stop right in front my house. I swung my bag on my shoulder and grabbed my phone from his hand.
"I wanna quit Lyon Dynasty."
"We had a deal, Tishé."
"That's the point; you haven't finished your end of the bargain."
"I'm busy, I git the group and-"
"Maybe my dad was right, boys nowadays just break promises."
I slammed the car door and ran inside. I slid down the wall once I noticed that no one else was home. I let out the loudest scream I could muster up then called Tiana.
"Hey, Titi."
"Yes, Bee."
"I know it's late but he's back."
There was silence then it sounded like she changed positions.
"Zeke?"
"Yeah, Zeke is back."
"Did he see you? Did he do anything?"
"We bumped into eachother; he was probably stalking me or something."
"Find someone to stay with if your dad ain't home."
I hang up before she can finish talking, knowing that she won't let me stay with her. My dad is probably on a business trip and Amber is probably with him so Hakeem it is. I lock the door and went to bed after a relaxing shower.
