My curly blue hair blew wildly as I rushed to find Tiana in the studio. I had judt heard some interesting stuff and I couldn't wait to tell her. "Tiana!" I called out. "Wassup, Bee?" She answered.
"Word on the block is that your girl messing with someone new."
Tiana sighed and rubbed her head.
"Look, I'll deal with that later, right now I'm busy."
Hakeem strutted in and we had a stare down. "Fuck is you looking at?" I sized him up. "You in my studio send asking me that?" He stepped up to me. "Yeah." I nodded and stepped up too. Cookie walked in, confused at the scene before her. "Im Tishé." I waved. She ignored me and turned to Tiana. "We gotta talk in my office." I rolled my eyes as my best friend started to follow her. "I'll catch you later, Bee." I sighed and kissed my teeth. "When you gonna make time for me, T?" "Soon I promise.
I took out my phone and did a once over of ny outfit in the camera. I was wearing a blue cropped tank top, acid wash overall shorts and my blue supras. I followed behind Tiana since I didn't want to be left with Hakeem. "Stay out here, this is business." I nodded and turned around only to bump into Hakeem.
"Why are you still here?"
"Cause I can be."
"Well I'm telling you to get the fuck out."
I flicked him the bird and began singing. "Do you like the way I flick my finger or nah?" I squealed as he dragged me into his mother's office. "MA." He called out once he realised Cookie didn't see us enter. "What boy?" She asked with her usual attitude. "We should sign her-" "Why?" She cut him off. "Cause she got pipes, she can sing." He replied. I scrunched up my face. "I don't sing, I rap and-" "-she doesn't like the spotlight like that." Tiana finished for me and I nodded in agreement. Hakeem sent me a glare as if to tell me to shut up. "Show me some." Cookie sighed.
I decided to sing One Last Time by Atiana Grande because I didn't feel like putting in the effort.
One last time
I need to be the one that takes you home.
One more time
And after that I'll let you go.Cookie kissed her teeth and flopped back into her chair. "I'm looking fir real game for us, boy and you bring me-"
Broken friendships
That's why I trust no nigga
They all up in yo face smiling
But you know they lying
They say they love you
But look what they made you do.
You don't wanna tell yo mama
Cause she's gonna tell yo papa."Now that's what I'm talking about." Cookie sat up. Hakeem seemed a bit shocked. "That was lit, man." I flipped my hair and smiled. "I know I know." "So if we're adding her to the team, who's gonna get her situated?" I choked on air. "You know I'm all about writing, I ain't too much on the mic." I reminded Tiana. "Bring your ass on, shorty." Hakeem pulled me out of the office. He pushed me into the booth and signaled for me to step up to the mic and put on my headphones.
I began rapping something off the top of my head. Y'all my niggas
But you always playing
Trynna hide the truth from me
My mama said stop worryin bout it
But lemme tell ya
The truth set you free
I ain't trynna hurt ya
But yo ego is blocking the rightness.
I miss the friend I use to talk to
Cause now you like the other niggas.
Trynna play tough but you still got yo pigtails."You spitting that shit, man." He chuckled. "I mean I do it all the time." I popped my imaginary collar and licked my lips. "But that was a bit personal." "It don't matter, let me hear something else."
You tell me you just feeling yoself
Lemme tell ya that probably happens everyday
Don't forget your eyes show all your lies
Yo ass be home by 9
Not cause ya got curfew
But ya got hoes pulling through
You tell me you're fine
But I can see through your white lies
Just saying. Aha."If you keep at it, you gon be up there with the stars." Hakeem pointed out. "Ion care for allat; I just wanna write music, man."
