"MADNESS!" Madame Giry screams. I think that's the first time I have ever heard her yell. "I'm not so sure" Andre chimes in. "Not if it works!" Firmin ads. "This is MADNESS!" Madame Giry says again. "The tide will turn" Andre assures her. "Monsieur believe me, there is no way of turning the tide" Madame Giry sound so sure of that. "You stick to BALLET" Firmin fires back. "Then help us" Raoul says. "Monsieur, I can't" Madame Giry pleads. Why not? She knows more about the Phantom than any of us. "Instead of warning us, help us!" the managers sound desperate, "don't make excuses" they add. "Or could it be that you're on his side?" Raoul accuses. He has a valid point. "She's his accomplice!" Carlotta and Piangi chime in.
"Monsieur, believe me, I intend no ill. But monsieur be careful. We have seen him kill." She makes a valid point. Poor Buquet. The conversation, which sounds to me like more of an argument, continues. The managers say that "We say he'll fall and fall he will!" while Carlotta and Piangi once again accuses me of being behind the whole thing saying, She's the one behind this! Christine! This is a ploy to help, Christine! This is the truth! Christine Daae!" Oh they will never learn.
"This is his undoing!" Raoul adds. The managers continue to encourage Raoul saying that "If you succeed you free us all -this so called "angel" has to fall! Raoul attempts to frighten the Phantom by announcing "Angel of music, fear my fury -Here is where you fall!" while Madame Giry tries desperately to change their minds "Hear my warning! Fear his fury!" Carlotta and Piangi don't let up their accusations against me, implying that "What glory can she hope to gain? It's clear to all the girl's insane! She is crazy! She is raving!" Andre and Firmin rave on about how my singing is the only way to end this. "Christine sings, we'll get our man ...If Christine helps us in this plan ..."
Raoul continues to egg the Phantom on "Say your prayers, black angel of death! With a significant tremble in my voice I beg "Please don't". Andre adds that "...If Christine won't, then no-one can ..." Despite her previous failed attempts, Madame Giry tries again "Monsieur, I beg you, do not do this ..." Carlotta and Piangi go into yet another Italian spree "Gran Dio! Che imbroglio". Firmin and Andre finally push me to my breaking point when they say "This will seal his fate!"
Unable to conceal my anger and more, I take my copy of the score and throw it to the floor screaming "If you don't stop, I'll go MAD!" The score hits the floor with a loud thud and the room falls silent.
