Tobin had returned to the recovery room, this time in the freezing ice bath. She hissed at the contact of the water to her skin, and sank into a sitting position.

The middy ran a hand through her ponytail, shaking her head in disbelief, her brown eyes trained on where just minutes before, a young girl with strikingly familiar eyes and curious questions sat.

Tobin let out a sigh, rubbing her eyes in exhaustion and confusion.

How could I be so stupid? she thought tiredly, now knowing without a doubt who 'Morgan' was.

Back at the hotel, the two older women sat on the couch, waiting for Sarah to come out of the restroom.

"I'm not sure if it was a good idea anymore," Kelley mumbled, wringing her hands.

Next to her, Sydney replied, "Yeah, I'm not really sure either."

The two of them sighed, and sat up a bit straighter when they heard Sarah opening the door. Sarah looked at them expectantly, her eyes slightly puffy from crying earlier.

"It was a stupid idea," she said finally, after a few beats of silence.

Kelley gave her goddaughter a sympathetic look, and gestured for her to join them.

Sarah took a seat in front of the two older women, and rubbed her eyes.
"Sarah, what happened?" her godmother asked her.

The young girl's eyes were trained on the floor, unwilling to look up at them. "It doesn't matter," she mumbled, fidgeting. "Can you guys just do me a favor?"

Kelley and Sydney nodded.
"Can you not tell Mom? I don't want her to know I saw her and that Tobin's much happier without us," Sarah whispered, sniffling.

Sydney leaned forward, softly asking, "Sar, what did she tell you?"

Sarah sighed, fidgeting with the hem of her shirt. "She said she's happy... she's glad we're not in her life," she mumbled, finally looking up at her aunts. "Just– forget about it, okay? Just leave her alone, in her perfect little life." With that, the thirteen year old stood up and left the bedroom.

After she left, her aunts looked at each other, confused. Kelley frowned, her eyebrows furrowing. "Something doesn't seem right... Syd, we know Tobin would never say something like that, especially not if she knew it was Sarah."

"Maybe she didn't know it was Sarah," Syd pondered.

"Well, if that's the case, then she surely knows now," Kelley remarked, laying down onto the bed, exhausted.

Sydney nodded, sighing. "What are we gonna do? Do we tell Alex?" she asked her friend, a worried look on her face.
"I guess.. We're gonna have to tell Lex eventually.. and she'll probably tell Sar what happened between her and Tobin," Kelley answered, running a hand through her brown hair.

The forward laid on the bed as well, rubbing her eyes. "This is a mess," she murmured.

"You're telling me."
-
That night, as Tobin walked down to the Rose Garden, a place she had recently found since being back in the states.

Her phone was in her hand, her thumb hovering over the call button.

Should I call? How does her daughter even know about me? Did Alex tell her? she thought, her mind full of confusion.
With a sigh, Tobin dialed.

Sarah sat on the couch with KK, playing cards, while her mom cooked dinner in the kitchen.

"So she said she was happy without you guys?" Kylie asked softly, shuffling the deck.

"Well... okay, she said she was happy with the life that she has, she didn't mention my mom or anything," Sarah replied, as Kylie handed her the cards.
Suddenly, the phone rang, and Alex called from the kitchen, "Sar, hun, can you get that?"
