Mike's POV
After talking to the Megaforce for a while, Mia and I took an hour to move our stuff to our new place. I plopped myself on the couch. "I am so exhausted," I exhaled.
"We just fought exborgs and moved," Mia nodded. "I think we got a lot accomplished today."
"And I totally agree with you," I smiled. "And you did get hurt so please take it easy."
"Mike, when have you ever known me to take it easy?" Mia asked. I looked at her without a word. "That's what I thought. Now, I have to go so I will see you later."
"Wait, where are you going?" I asked. Mia's samuraizer rang. She looked at me. "A rangers battle?"
"Orion wanted to hang out and catch up," Mia replied. "I've known Orion a year after you became a Samurai at fifteen." I looked at her. "I didn't know he was a ranger but now I do. Just trust me on this, Mike. You already have me."
"Go on," I smiled. "Just be careful and call if anything comes up."
"You have my word," Mia smiled as she left.
"So daring," I nodded. I eventually dozed off because I woke up to the front door closing. "What time is it?"
"Mike?" Mia called.
"Mia?" I asked as I quickly jumped off the couch. Her voice sounded as is she was scared. I ran to the front door and saw that she had Orion draped around her shoulder. "What happened?"
"Can we get Orion on a couch before I explained what happened?" Mia asked. I nodded. I helped Mia get Orion on the couch. "I'm going to get you an ice pack."
I followed Mia to the kitchen. "Wanna fill me in, babe?" I asked.
"Exborgs, again," Mia sighed. "Targeted Orion when his weakness is around."
"You guys were at a cafe," I replied. "What exactly could be his -" Mia looked at me causing me to stop. "Ohh..."
"Yeah," Mia nodded as she got an ice pack from the fridge. "But trust me. I don't mind it." We walked back to Orion and he was gone. "Where'd he go?"
I picked up the note and read it, "Thanks for saving my life and caring for me. I'll never forget about you my old friend. Much love, Orion."
"That's a touching note," Mia replied as she put the ice pack down. "I guess he didn't want me getting hurt."
"Or this is his way of saying we're even because he did save your life and now you've saved his," I nodded. "Try looking on the bright side. No nighloks for now and we have years ahead to just be with each other."
"Mike, I'm not going anywhere," Mia smiled as she kissed me. "There's no way I'm leaving you."
"You better not," I smiled. I held up her left hand. "This is a symbol of our love. I love you, Mia." I looked at her. "Ever since we were teens."
