Mia's POV
Mike and I have been engaged for two years, married for two years, and we had a three year old daughter. I woke up that Saturday morning and went to our daughter's, Marie Annette Elizabeth Jackson, room. I woke her up. I got her showered and dressed. "Let's go downstairs to Daddy, Marie," I smiled. I carried her and we went to the kitchen. "Mike, can you watch her while I go and get ready?"
"Yeah," Mike smiled. "She is my daughter, right?"
"Yeah," I nodded. I went upstairs. I showered and got dressed. I walked back down to the kitchen. "Marie, do you know where we are going today?"
"To see Grandpa Ji?" Marie asked.
"That's right," I smiled as I picked her up. "Let's go." I got her into her car seat in the back of the silver mini van. I closed the door and looked at Mike. "Five years, and it's our Samurai reunion."
"And our daughter was born right into the middle of it," Mike sighed.
"Hey, she's not a Samurai yet unless a real threat remains," I nodded. "We still have some time left." We got into the mini van and drove to the Shiba house. Mentor Ji was there to greet us. I got Marie out of the car and she ran up to Mentor. "Hey Ji."
"Mia," Mentor smiled as he hugged me. He picked up Marie. "Mike." They shook hands. "Everyone's inside but Antonio and Lauren couldn't make it." We walked inside and hugged and said hi to everyone. "How's my favorite granddaughter doing?"
"Great," Marie replied.
"Awe, is this Baby Marie?" Jayden asked.
"Believe it or not, but yeah," Mike nodded. "Those threw years just flew by. Kevin has been the only one around her the past two years."
"Uncle Jayden!" Marie exclaimed running over to Jayden.
"Marie," Jayden smiled as he picked her up. "Have you been good for Mommy and Daddy?" She nodded. "Yeah? Yeah." Jayden put her down to go and play with Nico, which is Emily's and Jayden's four year old son. "So, what's everyone been up to since we ended? Other than Mia, Mike, Emily, and I having families."
"Well, Mike and I have been trying to keep Marie out of our certain room," I sighed. "I'm not ready for her to take on the legacy just yet."
"Are you going to have another kid be the green ranger?" Jayden asked.
"We plan to once Marie gets a little bit older," Mike nodded. "Two young kids are tough to take care of but if one is a little bit older, we can handle that."
The nighlok senser went off. "Not again," I sighed. "Mentor, watch Marie."
"Let's go, guys," Jayden replied. We morphed on the way out of the Shiba house. We got to the city. "It's the smack talking nighlok."
"Let's do it," Kevin nodded.
"You again," the nighlok said as he spotted us. "I've been saying all the wrong things right."
"Talking smack about people is not cool," Mike replied as he ran to the nighlok.
"I know something about you," the nighlok ran up to Mike causing Mike to stop. "Your bike had training wheels until you were ten."
"What?" Mike asked. Mike was blasted. "Ah!!!"
He crashed into the building behind us. "Oh no," I replied.
"Mike!" Kevin exclaimed as I ran over to Mike.
"Mike, are you okay?" I asked as I kneeled next to him.
"And you blue ranger!" the nighlok exclaimed. "You're just boring!"
Kevin flew into the building too. "Kevin!" Emily replied.
"You're turn," the nighlok replied as he faced Emily. Emily swung her sword twice but missed. "Lousy cook!"
"What?" Emily questioned.
Emily flew through the fence. "Emily!" I exclaimed.
"Pink, your weak," the nighlok replied. He didn't phase me. "Clumsy, dumb, stupid."
"Nope," I nodded. The nighlok disappeared. I helped Mike up as we demorphed. "Come on. You got this." Kevin demorphed. "Get Kevin. Jayden is getting Mia." We all met back at the Shiba house. "Mentor, where are the kids?"
"Asleep," Mentor nodded. "Sit, we are all going to talk."
"This ought to be good," I sighed as we sat down. Mike and I sat across the room from each other because every other seat was taken. "Mentor, tell us about him."
"The nighlok is a bully," Mentor started. "He likes to hurt people's feelings. He channels mental pain and changes it to physical pain."
"He caught me off guard," Emily sighed. "It won't happen again."
"Listen, I may have had training wheels, but I didn't need them," Mike responded.
"And I'm a good cook, right?" Emily asked.
We all said she was. "Am I boring to you guys?" Kevin asked.
"You're extremely disciplined and orderly, Kevin," Jayden nodded. "It's a great quality for a Samurai."
Kevin smiled. "Yeah," Kevin nodded as he thought about it. "You're right. It is."
"Mia was the only one who wasn't affected," Mike replied, as he remembered. "That nighlok knew exactly how to hurt us. Why couldn't he hurt her?"
"Perhaps Mia as some special power," Mentor replied.
As mentor said what he said, I nodded. "It's nothing great like that," I shrugged. "I was teased and called names as a kid, made me sad. But Mom told me to just pretend like the person teasing me didn't say anything at all." I smiled as I looked at Mike. "And it really worked. So, when the nighlok said those things to me, it was like he didn't even say them."
"Then, why are you always putting yourself down?" Mike asked. "It makes no sense. Unless, it's what you really think about yourself."
"No, but -" I stopped myself.
"Mike," Kevin groaned, making him realize he said something wrong.
"I'm so sorry," I replied as I I looked at the floor. Mike looked at me and the expression in my eyes, saddened. "I -" I ran out of the house and sat outside on the bench. "I can't do this."
