Vanessa's POV

Chase and I hugged for the longest time, we were interrupted by someone running towards us., it was Ethan.

"Vanessa, why'd you leave?" He said.

I just looked up at Chase.

"Because I don't want to break another family apart." I cried into Chase's arm.

"What? You're not breaking any families apart." He said reassuring me.

"Yes I am, my family is too broken to fix and now I'm causing yours to do to the same." I say.

"No you're not," He pauses holding my face. "We fight all the time, I just don't want them to think of you as a criminal." He says.

"Ok, but he's right I am a criminal. I was almost arrested for the sixth time last night, I am a criminal." I cried.

"What happened last night was not your fault at all, you know that." He said.

"I know I just, I,"

"You what?"

I paused.

"I gotta go." I ran off.

I ran so far, I didn't know where I was by the time I stopped. I sat on a bench and just thought about what I am, why must I be a criminal?

My thoughts were interrupted by someone walking in front of me, it was Chase.

"Can I sit?"

I nod. He sat down and held me, I hadn't felt his hold in a long time.

"You don't know how long I've waited for this."

"I'm sorry." I said.

"For what?" He asked.

"What I've done, to us. I never should have left with Dallas." I cried into my hands.

Chase put his finger under my chin and pulled it up, I looked in his eyes.

"Look, we all make mistakes and yours was huge. But, you're here alive and he's gone, right?" He said with eyebrows raised.

"Yeah, but I have no where to stay."

"You can stay with me, I rented out a hotel room." He hugged me.

"Thank you." I smiled.

"No problem. Now, let's get back to Ethan." He said getting up.

I got up with him, we walked over to find Ethan arguing with his dad. He look so mad. As we got closer we could hear what they were arguing about.

"You can't stay with her and that's final! You are under my house with my rules now lets go home!" His dad yelled.

"NO!!!" He screamed. "I don't have to live with you! I can live on my own and I will," He paused and ran over to me.

He smashed his lips on mine and held my waist.

"With you." He said looking deep into my eyes.

I was speechless, I had just won Ethan but I broke up yet another family.

"YOU!" I hear his dad yell at me.

He ran up to me and put his hand up as if he was going to hit me, I closed my eyes and felt a hit to my face. It caught me by surprise, I fell to the ground it was so hard.

"And when you need to come home, don't expect it to be easy." His dad said.

I just need this all to stop, I stood up and said what needed to be said.

"Look, this is all my fault! You don't need to kick him out of the house just because he wants someone to help him find his lost brother, but I'm not that person. Ethan, I love you but I just can't do much without making this situation worse. I'm sorry." I ran off.

Ethan's POV

Her words were like poetry, they had so much meaning. I started to run after her but was stopped by my dad pulling my arm back.

"Dad, you already kicked me out, what is it?" I said slowly.

"Just, don't get hurt. I love you." He said also slowly.

"I love you too." I ran off.

Chase was right behind me and we ran into the woods, it was kinda dark but not too much. It was just like the time I saved her from whoever was trying to kill her, I could still feel her lips on mine.

"ETHAN!!!!!! CHASE!!!!!!!!!!!!" We heard.

It was Vanessa.
