"Yah!" Liam yelled, flicking the reigns to signal the horse to run faster.

The Prince had fallen unconscious from all the bumps they'd hit during the ride there and Liam tried to keep to the smoothest roads possible.

"Just a bit longer, my Prince. Hold on until then."

Liam propped the Prince up a bit more in case he would start to slip. They weren't very far from the palace grounds. The Prince's lips had begun to turn a blueish color and his skin was becoming paler. The blood oozed through his bandaging. He would wake up periodically, unable to talk, and just look around until they passed over another bump that would knock him unconscious again.

Katalina trudged slowly through the halls. Everywhere you turned, people would mention the Prince. They would speak of how brave he was to go into battle alongside his men or, the older ones, how handsome he'd gotten over the years. Katalina would grimace each time. She didn't want to even hear of the Prince. She grew tired and weary of hearing his name. She held her stomach and leaned against the wall, too dizzy to continue walking. She was suddenly aware of all the smells of the cleaning supplies around her. She slid down the wall and covered her mouth in case she were to vomit. She didn't want to create anything extra to clean. She tried to focus on something, anything, to distract her from her nausea. She whimpered and bit down on her lip.

"Katalina, are you ok?" Hernessa asked.

She shook her head slowly and looked up, grateful for Hernessa's concerning presence. Hernessa helped her to her feet and together they walked back to their room. She helped Katalina onto her cot and lowered her onto her back.

"I'll alert the King of your illness should he begin to question your disappearance. I'll try and finish the work you'd not done. Get some rest, okay?" she said before leaving the room.

Katalina sighed and promptly closed her eyes, almost instantaneously falling asleep.

Liam burst through the palace door with the Prince. He'd awoken sometime just before the arrival and refused to let Liam carry him. He walked alongside Liam, holding his wound, an arm slung around his neck.

"My Prince? You're four day's travel early. Where are the others?" Margaret asked.

"No time for that, we need a medic! The Prince is gravely injured!" he yelled.

"Gravely? Quick! Call for Natallia, tell her to get here as quickly as she can!" Margaret yelled to the other servants.

She pulled a chair out for the Prince and Liam sat him down.
