Chapter 5://: Girls Are Insane...Well, Maybe Not All Girls

Asher's POV

"Asher!" I winced as I heard Jessica's loud voice yelling after me. Now I remember why I broke up with her.
"Asher! Asher!"

"Yes?" I sighed, turning to face her. "Do you have a date to homecoming?" She flipped her hair. "Yet?" She added.

"Um...no?" I raised an eyebrow at her as she continued smiling at me, batting her eyelashes. "Do you have a date yet?" I rolled my eyes, knowing she wouldn't go away until I asked.

"I do now," she giggled. "Make sure to match your tie to my dress. I'm wearing Royal purple." She quickly strutted away, leaving me dumbfounded. What? What just happened? "Hey! Wait!" I called out to her, but she kept on walking.

I groaned and ran a hand through my dark hair. Ugh. Now I have to see her in algebra. Again.

My frown stuck with me until I actually walked in the room. My face immediately lit up as soon as I saw D. "Hey, there," I grinned at her as I sat down. "Hi," she smiled politely, opening her journal and starting on the warmup.

I sighed and rested my chin on my hand. Maybe if she wasn't so involved in that warmup...

"Hey," I snapped out of my thoughts as I heard her voice. "What's eating you?" I took a deep breath and turned my body towards her. "Well, I have been informed that I have a date to homecoming."

"Informed?" She laughed. "What do you mean? You didn't get to pick?"

"Nope," I rolled my eyes. "Jessica just bounced up to me and told me. And apparently, her dress and my tie have to match! What the hell is Royal Purple?!"

She broke into a laughing fit and I glared at her. "Don't laugh!" I smiled a little as I heard her melodious giggling. Jessica's wasn't like that, it was just squealing. Like when a pig squeals.

"I'm sorry, I couldn't help it," she apologized, still laughing. "That really sucks."

"You're telling me," I puffed out a breath of air, rolling my eyes as Jessica sauntered in. "Speak of the devil," D whispered next to me.

"Hey, loser." Wow, she didn't start talking to me for once. "You're in my seat."

I frowned as I realized she was talking to D. "Um...I'm good right here, actually," D shrugged. "No, you're not," Jessica slammed her yellow, manicured nails down on the desk. "Move."

D bit her lip, trying to control herself. I could see her foot thumping rapidly under the desk as she tried not to say anything she might regret later. Though honestly, I wouldn't have felt sorry for Jessica if she did get told off.

"I'm not moving."

Jessica glared and whispered something in D's ear. What did she say? I frowned as she stood up and allowed her spot to be taken, moving on her way to the back of the class. "Good luck," she whispered, rolling her eyes as she walked past.

I watched her go, but I was pulled back right away by a certain cheerleader. "So now that we're finally alone, we can discuss homecoming king and queen," she grinned. Ugh. Here we go.

D's POV

I actually didn't mind moving away from Asher. It's not that I don't like him, just jocks in general. Sure, they seem nice at first, but then they turn out the same as the rest of them. Total. Douches.

The only reason I was fighting for that spot was because I couldn't see. I'm near-sighted, so I can't see that far in front of me reading-wise. So basically, the problems on the board were just blurry Expo marker.
