Mistake #1

3| Boyfriend?

So this is Benji^^^
It's really late when I'm writing this so I apologize in advance :*

We walk it to see a long colourful hallway and we enter the first room on the right, the office.
As soon as I set foot in the room I am met with an annoyed 6year old brother, Benji. And an even more annoyed principal who probably just wants to go home. I look the the clock on the wall across from me at it reads 4:30, wow. I give her an apologetic smile as I reach or Benji's hand and make my way through the door way. I hear him (leaving myself a mental note to ask him his name) apologizing to the principal and wishing her a lovely day to which she just grunts and walks to her office.
He catches up to Benji and I and as we make it out side the first thing Benji say is "so Kenzie, you finally got a boyfriend? I knew they would start coming around." To that he snorts trying to keep in a laugh and I blush suddenly finding my shoes very interesting
"Is that why you didn't pick me up on time? You were busy with you new boyfriend"
And they way he drags out 'boyfriend' in a mocking tone I can tell he is purposely embarrassing me
"Wow Kenzie, now that I think about it this is you very first relationship, isn't it?" He continues. Ohh I'm getting him back for this.
But I just realized that I he isn't denying anything that Benji is saying and when I look over he is already looking at me smiling.

I have him drop Benji and I off at our house, giving him the directions and as me and Benji are getting out, so is he. "What are you doing?" I ask. No that probably sounded way rude, great going, I mentally roll my eyes at my self and smile in his direction trying not to seem rude.
"I was going to walk you to your house" is his response. I don't know what to say, I just think back to all the movies I have seen and that is what the boys do at the ends of dates but this wasn't a date I think to myself.
I just look at him and nod so he continues to walk up the steps with me side by side as Benji is "racing" us to the door.
"I win I win!" Cheers Benji and I swoop him up in my arms tickling him so he starts laughing like crazy " you sure did bud" I say, then I remember that he is still here and I gently place Benji down and there is this awkward silence that fall upon the three of us. I shift my feet and start fiddling with moms bracelet, Benji knows I do that when I'm nervous so he gives me one more hug then runs inside saying "I'll leave you two to talk" air quoting 'talk' and laughs.
A glare in his direction and then turn my attention to him, " well thank you for the ride" I say "but I have homework so I should be getting started on that" to this he says "I have homework too, what class?" Is he doing what I think he is doing? "Math..." I hastily reply "good, we can work on it together if you want"
he is "well then come in" I smile and motion toward the inside, glad it's not awkward anymore.
And so he enters

Well he just made himself right at home, took his shoes off at the door and neatly placed them on the shoe rack provided, walked over to the couch and plopped himself down with his legs going across the whole thing and I sit down on the smaller matching couch turned at a 90° angle from the one he was on. I get out and go to the kitchen where I left my bag when I notice that he didn't bring a bag with him so he doesn't even have any work...

I come back with my work and ask him "where is your work" feeling a little weirded out that he asked if we could do homework but he has no homework. "Okay, honestly I don't have homework but I just wanted to spend time with you because you seem like a really nice girl" at this a blush and reply "oh well you could just talk to me if you want to" he smiles
But it doesn't make me feel those butterflies or at a loss for words like when he smiled at me during my presentation, weird.
"What is your name?" I suddenly ask, he stops to think about if for a while, what he doesn't know his own name?
"Cody" he finally says Cody, I like it. "Cody" I repeat trying it out. He smiles.
We decide to watch a movie, I wanted to watch Lilo and Stitch but he doesn't like that movie so I settled for Batman. I didn't watch the majority of it seeing as I'm not really into the kind of stuff and I fell asleep.

I wake up the next morning and he is gone. Probably left after the movie I think to myself, then I look at the time 9:00!!  No, I'm so late for school! Oh and Benji too I can't believe dad don't wake us up. "Benji!! We're late for school get up get up!" I yell running up into is room. He sits up in bed and rubs the sleep from his eyes "what are you talking about?" He asks "SCHOOL! We're late!! Come on I'll make breakfast you get dressed!"
I'm about to start running for the door when I hear Benji say "you know it's Saturday right?"
I'm drawn to a holt and I sigh "oh sorry I woke you up Benji" I apologize "it's fine" he responds, Benji is so understanding I love him. I go downstairs to ask dad if we have plans today but when I call his name I get no response. "Dad?" I call again, "dad?!" I say a little louder keeping in mind the Benji is trying to go back to sleep. I go and look in the garage and see that his car is not there.
Did he ever come home?
