Mistake #1

7| I can't believe this is happening

After a painfully awkward car ride we arrive at the HUGE mansion. As Soon as I set foot in the home I can smell the alcohol. I see couples dancing, making out, and doing other unspeakable things so I avert my virgin eyes and try to stay close to Cody so I don't get lost in the sea of people.

We make our way to the bar and get a cup of beer each. I don't plan on getting drunk tonight just one or two drinks and I'm done.

I finish up my first cup as we make small talk, I notice that while we are talking he gradually keeps scooting closer to me and eventually I feel his hand on my thigh. I stop midway through my sentence and my head snaps toward him, then I look down at his hand .He notices this but doesn't remove his hand but moves it higher. I awkwardly cough and try to brush his hand away but he keeps going higher so I suddenly sand up "I need to pee" I declare and speed walk away.

I find the nearest washroom and splash water on my face what was he doing I ask myself it was probably just the beer getting to him I decide. I step out and return to my seat "sorry about that" I say "no worries love" he replied, now I'm not sure if it's the beer getting to me or what but his eyes are suddenly an emerald green and not the magnificent sky blue I remember, it's the beer I assure myself.

I take the last sip of my drink "want to dance?"I ask Cody dragging him to the dance floor "sure" he has this mischievous look on his face but I just brush it off and try to have a good time.

About 5 minutes into dancing I start getting really light headed and my knees buckle from under me, I collapse onto Cody and he catches me. My vision starts to blur at the edges and I don't understand what is going on, just glad that Cody can help me.

Cody starts dragging me away and it feel like I have no control over my body but I am completely aware of everything around me. Once we are away from the crowd Cody throws me over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes and starts walking up the stairs. I'm confused because I thought he would be taking me home but once he drops me onto a bed and smirks at me I understand

"Y-you drugged m-me" I quietly stutter out as things are getting very hazy. He just laughs deeply and starts undressing me. I try to move but I can't control my muscles, I try to scream for help but they just come out as little squeaks.

Tears start rushing down my face as he ties me to the bed with rope he had this planned the whole time.

Once I am left in my bra and underwear he starts to take off his pants and I close my eyes unable to stop the tears from rushing down my face. I can't believe this is happening.

Just when he goes for my bra there is a banging at the door
"Go away this room is taken" he growls. I am trying so hard to make any noise, it takes everything in me to just above a whisper say "Help. Rape." And I guess they heard because the banging gets louder.

Cody starts moving faster and almost has my bra off when the door is kicked down and there stands...

Cody?
But he has blue eyes.

All I see is one Cody punch the other and then I blackout

I awake and have a massive headache, I try to open my eyes but as I do the light in the room is too bright so I immediately close them again. "Mackenzie? Are you awake?"

I hear his voice but I don't know what one it is or if there ever even was two or it was some drug induced hallucination. I snap my eyes open regretting it right away as the light makes my head ache worse and I groan.

Once my eyes become used to the light I open them all the way and look at him, about to make a run for it when I see the calming sky in his eyes and I immediately feel safe.
I sigh and he begins to explain

"well my name is Cody and I'm the one that helped with your project but I haven't talked to you since. That was all my identical twin brother Liam, he was pretending to be me because he heard about what I did in class and assumed we were dating."

I nod telling him to continue "well he always gets jealous saying I get all the girls so he wanted to steal you away from me...even though you were never really mine."
What. The . Hell.
I don't even know what to say so I just start crying. I'm crying and can't stop as memories of last night fill my head. Cody comes over from the end of the bed where he was standing to sit down next to me and starts hugging me, rubbing my arm and telling me everything will be okay.
