Thinking of Her

Saline had only been a new student at this school for only a day, and she already couldn't get this girl out of her head. She didn't have anything against her, but she just felt the need to get to know her better or at least apologize for running into her.
Saline was sitting silently at a lunch table by herself drawing a picture in the notebook of hers. She stretched the mysterious girl's features and her petite face. She just seemed too perfect to be human, but why was that?
She finished with the girl's beautiful long hair, but stopped tapping her pencil on the table. Something was missing, but she couldn't place her finger on it.
"What's this?" A voice smirked snatching the notebook from Saline's grasp dangling it above her.
"Give it back!" Saline whimpered trying to grab it.
"Who you drawing? Your crush? Is tomboy a lesbian? How cute, no wonder your hair is cut so short." A tall boy with dark ginger hair and brown eyes laughed devilishly.
"No! It's just a character! So, give it back!" She shouted angrily at him.
"Well sorry tomboy, didn't know you cared so much about a made up person, no wonder you have no friends, that's why you always sit alone, Griffin, isnt it?" The boy giggled prancing around waving her notebook around in the air.
"Don't call me that!" Saline cried narrowing her gold eyes.
"What? Tomboy?" He snorted.
"I wouldn't care if you called me tomboy.." She bit her lip roughly to keep her from saying anything else.
"Griffin? That's your last name, am I right?" He chuckled lightly at his own joke.
"Yes, but I hate that name! It's the disgusting name I share with my awful father!" She screamed at him.
"Leave her alone, Derrick, do you always have to pick on new people?" A voice spoke up calmly from behind the boy they called Derrick and tapped his shoulder.
