Behaka stared at Saline in both fear and anxiety from the information she had just learned. She stared up at her unsure of what to do. Her mind told her to run, but she wanted to stay by Saline's side afraid of Derek finding her. She bit her bit nervously looking away from Saline closing her eyes.
Saline narrowed her eyes and stood up.
"You know, I think it would be better if we continued to pretend you don't know me. That would be best. Besides, I heard Rebecca has the hots for you." Saline snickered trying to change the subject of her being a fallen angel.
"I-I don't know if I l-" Behaka stopped herself from feeding to the conversation. She grew quiet going to stand up.
"Behaka, we should stay here, Derek might still be out here." Saline spoke up.
"Leave me alone, I'm going alone!" She rose her voice glaring at Saline and began walking away.
"Seriously Behaka..." Saline grabbed her arm gently.
Behaka spun around and slapped her across the face roughly. Saline stumbled back holding her cheek. A red imprint of a hand appeared on her pale cheek.
"Don't come near me! You scare me!" She whimpered pulling her hand back stepping backwards away from Saline.
"I-I didn't mean to scare you." Saline stuttered looking to the ground shamefully.
"Just leave me alone!" Behaka spun around on her heels running off into the darkness of the forest.
Saline stood motionless, but slammed her fist into a nearby tree.
"I'm an idiot." She muttered to herself and turned the other direction walking off.Behaka panted heavily running at top speed trying to regain her composer. She was scared out of her fine, but it felt worse being alone. She slowed her pace when she found herself in an unfamiliar part of the forest aimlessly.
"Behaka? What are you doing out here?" A voice spoke up walking from a distance with a lantern in her hand.
"W-Who's there?" Behaka screeched toward the light.
"Whoa. Girl, its me." Ruby rose the light to her face so Behaka could see her better.
Behaka whimpered and ran over burying her face in Ruby's chest as teas fell from her eyes. "P-Please help me. I don't know what to do anymore." Behaka whispered.
"Of course." Ruby laughed taking her hand walking her to a small cabin in the woods. It was tiny, but had a homey feeling to it. Ruby led her to a small couch.
Behaka sat down slowly looking around.
"I know its small, but its home." Ruby smiled sitting by her.
"I think it's nice." Behaka chuckled lightly looking over at Ruby.
"It's lonely sometimes, but you can stay here as long as you want." Ruby smiled.
"Really?" Behaka sniffled and smiled widely.
"Yes really." Ruby laughed.
"Thank you." Behaka chuckled lightly.
"So, what happened?" Ruby asked quietly.
"Well, Saline came to Derek's house to help me out. And she did, but she scared me and I ran off cause she's scary to me. I mean, she's nice and all but she always tries to like it seems impress me instead of telling me how she really feels. We are like Day and Night basically and I didn't know what to do so I just ran." Behaka explained quietly.
Ruby sighed. "You need someone who will be there for you." She smiled placing her hand on Behaka's hand.
"I guess." She sighed, looking face to face with Ruby.
Once she did, Ruby's lips met her slowly as Ruby closed her eyes kissing Behaka.
