The pair glare at each other in confusion and utter frustration. Principal McArthy gives Leslie and Paula a hard, evil stare. "Leslie, Paula?" I can see the hair on their arms stand up. They straighten their backs and look the headmaster in the eye. "I have heard that you did a despicable act last night. Explain." Paula is breathing heavily. "Um.. We didn't think... um... I'm s-sorry sir." "NOT ENOUGH!" The principal bellows, even making me shiver. I see now that the two are panicking, about to have a meltdown. Leslie opens her huge mouth, but in surprise, nothing comes out. Paula is left to speak, panicking. Leslie almost faints as I am forced to catch her. "Principal, what we did was wrong and we understand. We should be expelled." "AND THAT YOU ARE!", he roars wickedly. I try to tell him to calm down. He takes a one minute break. "I am extremely disappointed with you, I am going to call your parents to pick you up." YES! No L & P for the rest of the semester!

The next day I hear the noises again, but today is Saturday. I am in my humble home and the sound seems to be coming from the mountain. I keep on telling and telling myself that it is just wind, but I know that it is not.

"Mom?" Nan answers me and says that Mom went to the local Walgreens to get her photos printed. My mother is a photographer, and trust me, she's good. Anyway, back to my story. "Honey, what do you want?" Says a old, fragile voice coming from the kitchen, which is Nan. "Can I talk to you about something? I've been hearing frequent noise coming from the direction of the mountain." Nan nods, not looking calm at all. She looks stressed, almost scared. "Oh my." She pauses and looks around the room. Nan stops chopping up the carrots for dessert and looks me in the eye. She explains, "Sweetheart," I gaze at her. "The moaning sounds, they are signs." I'm confused. What is Nan talking about? "Signs of what?" I ask, curiously. "Oh, I might sound crazy, or even ridiculous, but it's dinosaurs." Nan's been going on about this lately. She thinks that they are going to attack sometime this month. Mom thinks that her mother is talking nonsense, but maybe it's true. "Tell me more, Nan." She takes a deep breath in and continues. "Have you been hearing loud thumps, screaming or anything of that sort?" I nod my head, definitely. I think I'm with Nan on this one.

The key rattles in the door as Mom is home. I tell her everything, but she ignores us still. "Seriously? My own child is turning into a freak." Well, that hurt. I guess she hasn't heard the noises yet. Nan calls out a hurt, "Hey!" and I go up the creaky steps to my room. I pick up my iPhone off my white, glossy bedside table. I scroll through my contacts until I see Gabby. Gabby is my bestie, I can talk to her about anything, and if I say something that everyone else thinks doesn't exist, she'll believe me. The phone rings and rings, but still no answer. I decide to hang up and try my cousin, Monica. After about two rings, she picks up. "Hey, whats up cuz?" "A lot. There's strange, very strange noises coming down from Mt. Forgotten. Have you been hearing those?" Monica pauses as she thinks. "Yes, I have. I've been hearing loud thumps and screaming as well. What do you think it is?" I bet she won't believe me, but I say it anyway. "Dinosaurs."

I spot a girl with a silver and red sweater walking across the road. She has silky black hair, perfect nails and pink lipstick. It's Monica!! I open up the front door as she walks closer. Monica lives just across the street. Her house is giant, it has a pool shaped as a balloon and a trampoline. Her house is awesome. "Hi, cuz!" "Hello. Come in." I say. We sit down on our white leather couch next to Nan. Oh no. That explains the screaming. Nan rewinds the television to the biggest news of all, a missing person report. There was a group of Indians climbing Mt. Forgotten, then they screamed, and on the footage, we can hear very loud thumps. They scream and scream, and then, they have vanished. The news reporter reads, "What a horrible thing. It is a mystery what had taken the innocent group. Perhaps an Avalanche." We all stare at each other in despair. The dinosaurs are obviously getting closer and closer. What could happen? Are we next? We need to think of a brilliant plan, quick.
