AFTER LUNCH...
I "eat" my gross cafeteria food and get right to my dessert, fondue. Delicious! I read the note while devouring the taste of sweet strawberries and rich, dark chocolate. "Soon you'll reach your destination, fast and furious, with determination. Where is this desired place? Look around, can you see? That's where you are meant to be." I turn my head to look in all directions. I don't see anything unusual. Just everything I see every single day, nothing different. Wait a minute... I spot a fluro yellow piece of card hidden beneath The Thankful Tree, which is up just for Thanksgiving where we write what we are thankful for. I race to the tree, I feel like I almost knocked it over!
I rip the card out of the fake, plastic leaves, I'm only careful of the delicate and fragile twinkle lights which are glowing like the bright, creamy moon and the stars during the pitch black night. "The final decision, it's up to you, what are you going to do? Run like the wind, like a shimmering horse in the sun or stay put like a knight in shining armor. Fruits will grow, people will change, and the worst is yet to come. Under the tree, there is a treasure box. And in that rewarding box, there is a wizarding wand. You are a mortal, but these will still work for you. Use it only when you need, there is up to 10 uses on this wand. Use it only to defend yourself when the evil come for a visit." That was powerful, very powerful. I open the special chest, like it is going to be part of my life forever, this box. I pick up the rusted looking stick. There is also a spellbook. I look through it, being mindful of the ripped and burned pages. I wonder where these came from, how it is so damaged yet so beautiful. I am desperate to use the wand, but I know I cannot use it too many times.
Throughout the day, I keep thinking about the glorious wand in my black leather boot. I could just whip it out and turn a frog into a prince, or a pumpkin into a carriage! Maybe I have my own fairy godmother, what about that! I wish I could just turn my mean teachers into some sort of animal sometimes and lock them up in a cage...
AT HOME...
I gently push the thick, metal sliding door open so I can be set free into our back garden. I wander over to the tomato plant, where it stands big and bold. It pops out from the rest of the plain old green plants in our boring garden. I look at the tomatoes. There is about 60 grown already. Now I just have to place them all over town. I am home alone for at least half an hour because my mother has to work until 4:50. I run all over town, dropping tomatoes every two yards I go. Grown men and women stare at me like I'm going crazy, but I do nothing but ignore them. People begin to avoid stepping on the fruits, and accept it.
This worked, I am so surprised! The hour later when my mom comes home with Nan, there is breaking news. "The three dinosaurs spotted on Mt. Forgotten have left their last footsteps after inhaling the scent of tomatoes. They fall to the ground helplessly, and the onlookers are terrified. There is fears that more dinosaurs are dead inside the caves of the mountain. More from you, Alishea."
There is a picture showing of the dinosaurs dropped dead, and a crowd of people with some fainting, others bright red in the face. They are all wearing puff jackets and fleece, it must be freezing. I just hope that there is no more of the kind.
I hope you like this chapter as much as I do! Tell me if you agree that it is much more descriptive! Lots of love, -Charlotte
