Chapter 2

"Love u, guys!" Midge hugs the kids at the door. "So, it's just us, folks! What d'you imps wanna do now?" David asks, after shutting the door. "I know...let's raid the fridge!" he exclaims, without waiting for their response. "Cabbage, broccoli,unknown green stuff...Bloody hell! The food in here's as bland as Ood tentacle stew!" David exclaims in disgust. He finally salvages the only edible food item- ice-cream! "Ok, so breakfast's done. What now?" he thinks. He comes up with a brilliant idea. "The amusement park!" he exclaims delightfully. So, they spend the whole day at the amusement park. They return later in the evening. David's phone rings. A few minutes later, "Looks like ur parents aren't returning till tomorrow afternoon." he tells the kids. Rose squeals on hearing the news, Rory jumps on the bed, while Ellie sighs at their silliness. "So, we're stuck with u, grandad?" she teases. "That's the War Doctor's nickname. I prefer Sandshoes!" David startles her with a comeback! "It's almost bedtime, so, nighty-night!" he exclaims, after tucking them in. "Bedtime story!" Rose reminds. "Aren't u guys too old for..." a tired David begins, but is interrupted by their protests. "I'd suggest this book." a helpful Ellie suggests, handing him a book. "Red Riding Hood." he reads out. A thought crosses his mind. "I'm sure ur parents wouldn't mind...& the Tardis's waiting..." he mutters. "Penny for ur thoughts, Sandshoes?" Ellie asks suspiciously. "I was just thinking if u guys would like to visit her? I'm sure the Tardis could take us to her." David replies, gesturing to the picture of the hooded girl. "We thought u'd never ask!" the 3 imps cry out excitedly. "Allonsy, then!" a super-excited David (who'd been craving for an adventure!) exclaims.
