I thought he was a man who stands so firm

So firm he stand, he always discern

He dictates the things he wants me to do

And this continues until I grew

I was a teen, how would I know

I tried to stand up, and tried to let go

I felt like a puppet under controlled

So then I decided, I don’t want this no more

Years gone by, I saw myself astray

Wishing that I could have just stayed

I glanced into a place that once I called home

Then I realized how things turned out to be so old

I saw one more thing, it captured my eyes

A man with wrinkled skin, he saw me, he cried

I ran into his arms, and then I heard him say

“I’ve been waiting for you darling, all throughout the days”

I thought he was a man who stands so firm

But deep inside him, his heart is concerned

He loved me, I left him, but still his love remains

My father, my teacher,  my gratitude regained .
