-PERCY'S POV-

"Annabeth! This is important!" I screamed through the door of the Athena cabin.

"No Percy! I'm not going out in this. Besides it's not even October 31st!" Annabeth screamed back at me, still standing firm on her decision to not join me.

"Yea so?" I asked unsure of what else to say.

"What do you mean so!? It's frickin November sixth. I mean even if I gave in to this stupid idea, which I won't by the way, we would be the laughing stock of camp for months!" Annabeth shouted out to me causing me to flinch slightly.

"Come on. We'll be completely fine," I tried to reason with her.

Sigh. There honestly was no arguing with her sometimes. I tried for a couple more minutes but she still wouldn't budge.

After I walked off from her cabin I got a little upset. I knew I had forgotten to celebrate halloween with her but I wanted to make it up to her. But I knew she wouldn't want to come out with me if she knew that all it would acheive was making her the laughing stock of camp.

When I locked the door of my cabin behind me I took off my costume and lay it on my bunk. The glistening star on my leather vest brought a smile to my face. I may not be able to celebrate halloween with my girlfriend but atleast I was able to spend time making these costumes with her.

I remebered it like it was yesterday...

-Flashback-
"Annabeth is this okay?" I asked her pointing to the headband I made for her.

"Yes Percy, for the millionth time, everything you've made here is perfect," she said in an annoyed tone but the smile creeping onto her face told an extremely different story.

We had been working for the last five hours and our costumes were almost finished. I just wanted everything to be perfect for our day tomorrow. I had changed our costumes like 18 times know I was starting to get tired.

Two hours later and we were almost finished. I had almost given up several times but with Annabeth by my side the tiresome work of making our costumes.

-End Flashback-

The smile that had alighted my face while remembering out time together slowly left my face as I heard a knock at my door. I really didn't want any company right now but it would be rude to not atleast see what the person wanted.

"Hello. What do..... wow..." I aaid as I opened my door. Before me stood a couple of my closest friends and the camp decorated full halloween style. Ghosts and shadow bats flew around, spooking an unsuspecting demigod every few minutes. Glowing green slime oozed from the bark from some of the surrounding trees and a ethereal orange fog floated about the ground. I could see several tombstones sticking up through the fog and occasionally a ghoulish hand would immerge, scaring the poor camper who had be unfortunate enough to be close.

"Woah," I said again, utterly shell shocked. My friends only laughed at my lack of words but one laugh stood out among the rest.

We met each others eyes at the same time and its like sparks flew. I stepped out and she stepped forward. I could barely register the the camp going silent and the crowd between us quickly getting out of the way.

"I'm sorry," we both said at the same time, not once breaking eye contact.

A slight blush rose to her cheeks and I knew the same was happening to me. When the heat in my cheeks finally went down a determined look took over my face and I nodded at Annabeth, signalling her to speak.

A grateful look dawned on her face before she started to speak.

"Percy I'm really sorry. I shouldn't have shot you down like that. You worked so hard on these wonderful costumes and all I could do was let my stupid pride cloud my judgement," she said in wone breath, a similar determined expression on her face but sparkling tears ran down her cheeks.

"I was being a selfish b...." she started but I stopped her with a passionate kiss. Initially she was shocked but she soon melted into the kiss and it was just us. After a while I pulled away, pressing our foreheads together.

"No you weren't. I'm the selfish one. You aren't obligated to do everything I want. I asked so much of you only to quench my childish desires and all you did was support me. You not wanting to go prancing around in some silly costume is no reason to apologise," I whispered to her.

Tears were streaming down her cheeks now but I stood firm. I held her in my arms as she tried to tell me that she was wrong but I wouldn't have it. I knew we were both at fault here but why should I let her take all the blame upon herself like that. I knew she was truely sorry and I wouldn't have it any other way.

"Now that that's over let's go enjoy the party. What do you say?" I asked her, holding my arm out as an invitation.

"I would love to," Annabeth said lovingly. She followed me into my cabin and helped me put on my cowboy costume. After that we went out and enjoyed the party that I would later realise that Annabeth had no part in planning. It had all been Nico and when I heard to say I was more than surprised.

The whole night we danced, Annabeth in her horse/cowgirl costume had more fun than she thought we would. We weren't the only ones though. Frank and Hazel, in their matching Hogwarts costumes, spent a good part of the night making statues for passers by. Thalia, Jason and Piper came as Superwoman, Superman and Supergirl and I couldn't help but break down laughing when I saw Jason in his Superwoman costume. But by far the best dressed were Nico and Reyna. Some brave soul had somehow gotten them to both wear bunny costumes and they acctually looked adorable. Don't tell them I said that though, I don't need to spend my night running from the easter bunny's helpers.

As the last song played I couldn't help but smile. This was really a moment I would cherish for life.
