Ok anything in bold is a flashback and anything in these ' ' will be a thought. The ever so wonderful Jap-Attack has co-written this chapter with me so there may be two different styles of writing here, both very good :p Vote please :) *************************************************************************************************************

Darkness. That's what I awoke to. I started to panic and feel around me frantically. I sighed in relief when I realized I was in bed, but wait. I don't remember going to bed or even stopping at a hotel either. Where was I?Suddenly the past events came rushing back to me like as if a dam had collapsed. Then a door opened and light spilled into the room as Hodge had walked in, followed by Flint. "Well good afternoon, Sandoval. Did you sleep well?" I looked at Hodge's smirking face with a look of confusion. "Afternoon? How long have I been asleep?" Flint chuckled slightly, "Well beautiful, you have been asleep for about three days now." What? I felt as though I were asleep only a moment. I honestly didn't know what to think. I stared at them both in shock. "O-ok, now can you tell me more about who you two are?" I asked. Now it was their turn to look at me in shock. Hodge looked at me with a mix of confusion and sadness as his crimson eyes darkened with pain. Flint just continued to stare at me like I had lost my mind, "What do you mean who are we? How could you not remember us? We're your partners!" Flint gasped. I was taken aback at his outburst.

"What are you talking about? And don't yell at me, I've had me a day!"

"Well, maybe we should go and have you talk to Spencer."

"Who?"

"Seriously you don't remember anything?"

"No... should I?"

"Yes!"

"That's enough flint. Let's just take her to Spencer."

Hodge's words cut through our bickering like a sharpened knife. We both looked over to him and then looked away. "Come on Beckett. Let's go." Hodge said gently. He held a hand out to me and I gently took it. He helped me to my feet and put an arm over my shoulders to steady me. "Alright let's go." Flint grunted. We walked out of the room and the light was blinding. The hallway was pretty much all windows and glass. I truthfully felt a bit light headed as I looked down at the tiny city below. "Where am I?" I asked. "In head quarters." flint grunted. I nodded and they escorted me down several stairways and other glassy hallways. However what was weird was that we never ran into anyone as we came to a huge oak wood door. "Is there anyone else here? I mean we can't be the only ones here in this huge building." I said. "All the other agents are either asleep or on missions. The only reason we're still here is because Spencer ordered us to watch over you." Hodge replied. I nodded and then we opened the door.

As I walked in I noticed a semi tall man standing behind an dark colored oak desk looking out at the city through one of the glass walls in his office, wearing the weirdest clothes I've ever seen. He had on a dress shirt with a raggedy tweed suit jacket over it, black slacks, dress shoes, and a cherry red top hat. I have to say that he really knows how to stand out. He turned around and smiled showing off his perfectly straight, pearly white teeth and chuckled at the perplexed expression on my face before saying, "Welcome back Sandoval! Glad to know you're awake! How have you been lately?" He was so cheery about it that I thought he would start spewing sunshine through his eyeballs. 'So this is Spencer? The one that's going to help me remember whatever it is I'm supposed to remember?' I thought.

"I could be better, but could you please answer a question for me?"

"Sure Beckett! Ask away!" I swear this man is just too damn cheerful. It was really beginning to get on my nerves.

"What the hell is going on?"

"Excuse me?"

"I asked what the hell is going on. I wake up and these two are going off on me because I'm supposed to remember them. Yet I only met them a couple of days ago."

Spencer looked thoroughly confused. Just for a second however. In a split second he began to laugh heartily. "That's rich! You always were a kidder Sandoval!" he chuckled. I was about at my wits end with this man. "I'm not kidding. I don't even have a clue as to where I am!" I snapped. Spencer's face took on a serious look and it kind of shocked me, though I didn't show it. "Are you telling me that you don't remember?" he asked. I nodded and suddenly couldn't hold the odd man's gaze. 'What am I supposed to remember?' I thought. I was certain that I had never met these strange people in any point of my life. I'm pretty sure that I would remember Spencer for his unique fashion sense.

Spencer motioned to Flint and Hodge to join him over by a corner. Beckett gave them a questioning glance but said nothing. Turning back to the red heads he looked a bit shaken. "Does she truly not remember?" he asked quietly. "Yes, she doesn't remember a thing. It's as if she had never been apart of our organization." Hodge replied. Spencer nodded and then smiled brightly, "I have an idea! Let's tell her of her past times with us and see if that triggers anything in her memories!" he said puffing out his chest a bit proudly. In this moment he looked like a little kid that was pleased because they helped put silverware away. Flint's mouth twisted into a smirk as he stared at his boss and Hodge truly didn't know what to do.

Both Flint and Hodge looked at each other and then to Spencer. "Seems like that's the best option." Flint said and shrugged. Spencer beamed at the red heads and then turned to Beckett. He was nearly bouncing in his shoes. He loved to tell stories, oh how he loved to tell stories.

I watched Spencer huddle up with Flint and Hodge. Even though I was confused I waited for them to finish. Looking around the office I took in every detail. The beige rug, ugly walls with tasteless pictures and shelves filled with many books I never knew existed. "Ahem." Spencer said. I turned back to him and saw that annoying smile still on his face. I really just wanted to ask if he took happy pills. "We figured that we would tell you about your past experiences when you worked with us." Spencer said excitedly. I nodded slowly, "Ok, regale me." I replied.

"Alright, about seven or eight years ago you used to work with us and complete missions." Spencer began. I nodded and waited as patiently as I could while he continued to remain silent. "The last mission you went on, you went in alone. Usually I forbid this. However for whatever reason I allowed you to go alone." He said. "Ok, so where was I going?"I asked as I entertained the thought of me working for him. "To Leven Slade's neck of the woods." As soon as those words were spoken a blinding pain blindsided me.

"Do you think you have a chance of winning?" A man spoke. His gaze boring into me, eyes a deep rust color. Many grotesque scars were placed on his skin. Dark hair was unruly and his lanky form was quite formidable. He moved with the silent grace of a panther and his mouth was twisted into a crooked smirk.

Reality checked in again and by this time Spencer had begun talking again. "I sent you there to take him out and recover an important item for us. You had no problem getting into his mansion but when you found Slade himself the real battle began."

"Well, well, well. If it isn't my little princess!" The man said as he started forward towards a much younger Beckett. "I'm not your little princess Slade. Don't kid yourself."She spat. His smirk grew wider as he appeared in front of Beckett. "I wouldn't dream of it."He replied and struck. A knife came out of the shadows, arching towards me. Blocking, she countered with her own blade.

"You for the most part were holding up fine. However as the battle wore on you began to tire out."

Beckett was panting hard as blood poured from her many open wounds. Slade was relatively unscathed. "Give up princess. The reactor core is mine." He said. Beckett looked at the core in his hand and the sword to her stomach. Closing her eyes she made a deciscion.

"In a desperate move, you skewered yourself on his blade and grabbed the reactor core. Slade was too shocked to really move until you began to try and run. He chased after you and finally caught you on a cliff. However by that time it was too late. You had rid yourself of the reactor before he cornered you. Angered he attacked you and dumped your body over a cliff. However when our scouts went and checked out where your signal had last been, you were gone. We thought you were dead." Spencer explained. Some of the images flashing past my eyes were fuzzy, however the pain was almost unbearable. I put my head in my hands and groaned. "Are you alright Beckett?" Spencer asked worriedly. I nodded quietly and then tried to stand. Too bad that didn't go very well. "Beckett!"Flint cried as my world collapsed.
