● His Secretary ●

I was seating on the balcony looking at the beautiful view in front of me. There was snow everywhere, the morning golden sky was surrounding me in a distant haze. The sun and morning haze had started to churn and mix together. The beauty struck me and made me catch my breath.

Those days don't come around all the time but when they do you take a step back and realize how great life is.

"Enjoying the view?" Someone said behind me. I turn around to see Mr. Alaric. He had a sweater on, a pair of sweatpants, and fuzzy socks on. I chuckled at his socks. He looked down at his socks when he saw what I was laughing about. "Don't judge me Miss Teixeira."

"I'm not." I said laughing. He laughed too and then handed me one of the cups he had in his hands.

"Hot chocolate."

"Yum." I said and took a small sip. "Is everyone still sleeping?" He nodded.

It was silent when he  stood next to me and looked at the beauty around us. It was a comfortable silence.

"We should go and make them breakfast." He said a few minutes later.

"We should." We both walk downstairs to the kitchen and started to take things out from the cabinet. I look at the time and it was 6:08. We have time to make a big breakfast.

We were making waffles, sausage, potato omelette bites, and glazed doughnuts.

When the waffle batter was ready I heat up the waffle iron them brushed it with oil.

I look over at Mr. Alaric and he was frying the sausages in the pan. He was turning around so I quickly turn to face the window. I don't want him to think that I'm a creep.

We finished breakfast and 10 minutes after that Mark and Jenna walked in. Then it was Mr. Armando then his wife. She came in running in the kitchen saying that she slept in and that she will quickly put something together for us. Then she saw everyone at the table eating she sighed in relief. She thanked us and took a seat.

"This was very fun. We should do this again." Mr. Armando said. As we put our things in the cars.

"Yeah." Mr. Alaric replied back.

We hugged each other and then went to our cars.

"You know what's weird."

"What is?" Jenna asked.

"The fact that we just spent the weekend at our boss's parents cabin."

She laughed. "Yeah, but I'm dating his brother and you're really good friend with his brother."

"Yeah but it's still weird."

She laughed and shook her head.

.....

"Hello Miss Teixeira." I heard Mr. Alaric's voice behind. I put the pen I was writing in my mouth and piled the papers in my hands. I turned to face him.

" Good morning Mr. Alaric." I said.

He chuckled and ran his hand through his hair. "Actually, it's 12pm."

"Oh. Well, good afternoon Mr. Alaric."

He shooked his head, smiled, gave me a pat on the back and then walk to his office. When he left I could still feel his hand on my back.

That night when I went home I found a little buddy in front of my apartment. It was a cute little puppy. It was probably a few months old. I don't really know what breed it was but it was very cute. I checked for a collar but didn't find one. It didn't have one so I was going to bring it to an animal shelter tomorrow. I gave it some food and then gave it a bath.

I went to bed and a few minutes later I felt something cuddling with me.
