The next morning when I went to work, I was surprised to see Miles there. I haven't seen him in so long.

He was talking to a guy and when he noticed me, he excused himself and walked towards me.

"Natália, hey." Miles said once he reached me. He gave me a hug and I politely hugged him back.

"Hi, how have you been?" I asked once we pulled away.

He gave me a lopsided smile and shrugged. "Been doing great. How about you? You never replied back to my text."

I let out an awkward laugh and adjusted my purse. "Yeah. I just didn't think it was a good idea, you know?"

He frowned. "Why wouldn't it be a good idea?"

Shit.

I cleared my throat awkwardly. "Well, it's just that-"

"Natália, Mr. Armando wants you in his office right now." I hear Jenna say. Miles and I look over at her and I mouthed a 'thank you' to her. She didn't say anything back because Miles was still looking.

"I gotta go. It was nice seeing you again." I said and left.

"Yeah." I heard him mumble behind me.

"You looked like you needed help." Jenna laughs.

"A little." I said with a chuckle. "Alright, I'll see you during lunch break." I told her. She nodded and I walk to my office.

When I walk in my office there was a bouquet of flower on my desk.

I smiled and picked it up. There was a small card on it.

Saw these flowers at the flower shop on my way home, and I instantly thought of you. ♡

Why does he have to be so cute?

I kiss the little card and put it back in the bouquet. I put my purse on the desk and take my phone out of my trouser's pocket. I unlocked it and dialed Al's phone number.

He picked up on the third ring. "Morning babe."

"Morning to you too." I greeted him with a smile on my face. "Thank for the bouquet. I love it."  

"No problem. I'm glad you do."

"Are you here yet?" I asked him.

"I'm actually leaving my apartment right know. I'll see you in bit." He said.

"Okay." I hung up and put my phone down.

I did what I do almost everyday. File out documents, schedule appointments, take notes during meetings and other important stuff. Some people might find this boring but I find it very fun. I enjoyed talking to people and I love scheduling.

I was taking my wallet out of my bag to go buy myself some food, when Jen barged into the room.

"Guess who just walked in Alaric's office." She whispers.

"Who?"

"Abigail!"

My heart skipped a little. "Abigail? As in Alaric's ex-fiance?" I asked her.

"Yeah. She asked for him and I told her he was in his office. I called Alaric to tell him that she was here. He was a bit hesitant at first but he told me to let her in." Jen explained.

I furrowed my brows in confusion. "What do you think she wants?"

Jen shrugged. "I dont know. Her baby bump is huge now. Want to eat lunch with us?"
