You and Luke had been best friends for 3 years before he got the guts to ask you out. Now you two have been dating for about a year and a half. You were happy, for the most part. Luke was an amazing boyfriend to you, he just, sometimes had issues with priorities. He missed a lot of your dates and spent a lot more of off time with the boys than you. You constantly tried to make excuses for him, but lately it just hasn't worked. You love him. You were scared to lose him but it was beginning to kill you on the inside. You didn't know how much longer you could take being pushed to the back. You had tried to talk to him a number of times, but he just brushed it off explaining that he cared about you and that you were always going to be his number one. And for a while you would believe him, until you realized he said that every time before you went back to being pushed aside. Right now you were sitting there thinking about it in his apartment, looking at the dinner you had made for date night that he forgot, again. You looked at the clock seeing it was half past 9, he was 2 and a half hours late. You got up slowly with the tears still running down your cheeks. You had finally had enough. You loved him, but you couldn't do this anymore. You went upstairs and packed the few things you had at his apartment for when you stayed over. You took out a notebook and wrote him a note. You didn't have the strength to face him anymore.
Luke, I'm so sorry. I don't know where we went wrong. I wish I could fix it all, but I can't. Not when you don't even see that there is something wrong. I wish that I was enough, but obviously I'm not. I hope you get everything you dream of with the boys. You guys are amazing so I don't doubt that you will. I'll always be your number one fan. I love you, rockstar. But, this had to be goodbye.
You read over the tear stained page and figure that it will have to do. You place on the table and head out the door, taking one final look at the place you always loved. You head out to your car, throw your bag in the passenger seat, and drive home with tear stained cheeks. Once you get home, you change into comfy PJs and fall into bed crying yourself to sleep right before your phone vibrates from him.
Lukey: Babe I'm sorry. Come back! Let's talk this through! Please, I love you.
******* ONE MONTH LATER********
Its been one whole month since you left. One month of ignoring him. After 2 weeks he finally gave up. You ignored everything. His calls, his texts, his emails, everything. The only person besides your best friend that knows the full story is Michael, because he's dating her. He tried to convince you to give Luke a change to explain but you refused. He updates (Y/BFF/N) who update you on how Like is doing constantly. Its not like you don't know. You hate to admit it but you check on his social media. You also hate to admit that you miss him like hell. You miss him more than anything and the memories haunt you at night. You want him back. Little did you know, Luke was more of a wreck than you.
(Luke's POV):
He looks around his apartment and immediately is haunted by you. He still sits and reads the letter you left him. His apartment is filled with trash and things broken out of anger and sadness. Things he breaks because he can't stand himself. He can't stand what he did to you. He wants you back. He wants you forever. He looks at the small box on the table and remembers the night he came home. He walked through the door ready to great his baby girl. He hollered for you only to be met with silence. He looked in the kitchen and his eyes went wide. He walked over to only catch sight of your note. As he read it he couldn't help but cry. He loved you.
You were his everything. He immediately grabbed his phone and texted you begging for you to come back. After that he did the only thing he could think of. The thing he wasn't positive about doing until now. He sped all the way to the jewelers and searched for the perfect ring. He wanted you forever and there was not longer a doubt in his mind like before. He needed you. But then you refused to respond. You wouldn't answer him. And now he just sits with this little box as a reminder of what he lost. He jumps when a knock on the door interrupts his thoughts. He slowly stumbles over to it and pulls it open. "What do you want?" He grumbles towards his 3 band mates. They pull him inside and sit him down. "Luke, this is getting old. You can't just keep sitting around here all sad." Ashton explains. "Yeah man let's do something." Calum adds. "How can I do anything when the love of my life left me and it's all my fault? How can I not be sad when I have absolutely nothing left? I need her. She's my everything and now that she's gone I have nothing." Luke rants. "So what are you gonna do about it?" Michael questions. "Huh?" Luke asks. "Well you say she's your everything yet all you've done is sit on your ass and complain and be sad. If you love her like you say you do then why don't you man up and do something to get her back. Stop being a bitch about it." Michael rants. Everyone just gapes at him, knowing nothing of his and (Y/BFF/N)'s small plan. They hate seeing you both miserable without each other so they thought about giving you both a small push back together. "You know what Michael. Shut the hell up. I'll show you." Luke says angrily due to Michael questioning his love for you. Luke storms off to begin planning his way to get you back.
