Ruby- "cuz all the girls in my class are asking me who my daddy is"

Laura- "no Ruby"

Ruby- "why not?"

Laura- "Ruby I can't, go to bed"

I can't just let her slip away like that..

In the morning

I woke Ruby up and took her to school after I changed her and showered her and did her hair

Till it was time to pick Ruby up

I went to pick her up and came home

I was feeding Ruby then I heard my phone ring

Laura- "hello..."

Ross- "hey laur"

Laura- "you again.."

Ross- "I need to tell you something"

Laura- "What"

I said and fed Ruby a apple slice

Ross- "I-I wanna tell Ruby"

Laura- stood up "HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU? NO. NO RUBY CONNOT KNOW THE YOU ARE HER DAD! AND YOU WILL NOT BE PART OF HER LIFE"

I slapped my hand over my mouth realizing Ruby was here

Ruby- frowned "who's my dad?"

Laura "hahahahaha no one.." I laughed awkwardly

Ruby- "mommy....I KNOW YOUR LYING! WHO IS HE?!"

Laura- shit the phone "don't you dare talk to me like that. I'm your mother!"

Ruby- threw the fork on the floor "I DONT CARE YOU KEPT IT FROM ME FOR 6 YEARS I DESERVE TO KNOW WHO MY DAD IS"

She was right...

The poor girl needs to know who her father is..

Laura- sighed "I know ruby...I'm a bad mother.."

Ruby- sat next to me "no your not mommy...I'm sorry...I love you"

Laura- smiled "ok I'll tell you, but promise you wont freak out"

Ruby- "ok"

Laura- "let's go"

Ruby- "where are we going?"

Laura- "to see your father"

She squealed

I called him

Laura- "meet me at the park in 5 minutes"

I said and hung up not even listening to his answer

Me and Ruby went to the park and saw him on the part of the park that was empty

I sighed

I guess it's time..

Laura- "come on"

I took her to him

Ruby- "hey isn't that the man you were shouting-" she paused and looked at him closely then gasped "THATS ROSS LYNCH!!"

Laura- "Ruby shush!! They might hear"

Ruby- "sorry" she whispered "anyway what's Ross lynch doing here"

Ross- kneeled to her height "what if I said that your name isn't Ruby marano"

Ruby- "yeah...it is.."

Ross- "no...it isn't..."

Ruby- crossed her arms "the what is it?"

Ross- smirked "ruby lynch"

She dropped her hands and her jaw dropped

Ruby- "w-what?!"

Ross- smirked "Ruby lynch"

Ruby- "what do you m-mean"

Ross- "I mean that..I'm your dad.."

Ruby- mouth opened "mommy...I don't think I'll be keeping that promise.." She said calmly looking at Ross "AHHHHHHH!!! ROSS LYNCH IS MY DAD!!" She squealed

Ross- hugged her

Ruby- hugged back

Ross- pulled away "laur.."

I snapped out of my day dream of their cuteness

Did that make sense...I don't think so..

Laura- "hmm"

Ross- "I kinda bought us a house"

Laura- eyes widened "SINCE WHEN WHERE WHAT?!?"

Ross- "baby, calm down"

Laura- "Ross I'm not with you! I just came cuz I promised Ruby to tell her who her dad was, I already gave you a chance, bye"

I held ruby's hand and left

I saw her reaching her hand for Ross

That reminded me of when she was little...

When she was seconds away from death..

If Ross hadn't carried her...I don't know what I would've done..

I will never forget that day...ever
