*** Err it's Eve's POV just lettin' y'all know ;) ***

I snuggled into the soft, warm blankets around me, gripping the fur in my hands and pulling the covers further up towards my neck. Wait....fur!?

I bolted upright, my eyes wide as my black hair surrounded my face, clouding me from the horrifying image of animal fur blankets that swarmed me. I choked back a scream, scrambling to get out of the wooden cot I'd been sleeping in, falling onto the cold, hard cobblestone floor and crawling to the other-side of the room. I curled into a ball, my hands shaking as silent sobs racked through my chest, my heart pounding as I reached out towards the iron handle, using it to elevate myself and yank the heavy door open.

A flood of warm air almost smacked me in the face as I bolted outside and into the halls, a fire crackling inside of it's hearth as I glanced around the narrow but long room, my chest heaving as I sprinted towards the left. My feet slapped loudly against the cobblestone on the floor as I sprinted past wooden doors and torches along the walls. I took no heed of the paintings that were hoisted upon the grey walls as I arrived at a a thick, beautifully carved wooden door. The dark stains of wood outlined the beautifully coloured image and I gasped as I drank in the resemblance of my kind.

Sharp pointed ears jutted out from the figures heads within the carving, their faces elegant and angled, their eyes somehow showed intelligence and life, yet they were not real. They wore white robes that flowed effortlessly around their bodies, their hands holding harps or what seemed to be shining light. There was one significant difference that stood out from my kind and that of the carvings.

They had brilliant, white wings that were seemingly attached to their backs, keeping them aloft, each figure had their gaze set on one man, a simple, almost insignificant man until I notice that crown of light that sat atop his head. My breathing slowed as I gazed at the beautiful carving, my heart swelling as I subconsciously smiled at the faces.

"Breathtaking isn't it?" A soft, crackled voice tore through the silence of the hall and I whipped my head around, meeting the gaze of old blue, glazed over eyes. The face that those eyes belonged to was crinkled and withering but the smile that spread across old, cracked lips was kind and heartfelt. The aura of warmth the old priest gave off made me feel safe, making me forget about any worries or troubles that had previously overtaken my mind. I nodded in response to his question, glancing back at the carving before hearing light footsteps behind the priest and myself.

"Eve! Thank God you're okay." Sebastian's familiar voice echoed through the halls and my smile widened a little, my heart picking up it's erratic beat once again. Slightly panicked by his sudden appearance I hid behind the dark veil of my hair and twisted my fingers around on another, fidgeting madly.

"I'm fine, just a little tired." I mumbled as he stood next to the elderly priest, noticing that their choice of clothing was exactly the same, dark brown robes and black shoes, the rest, was hidden underneath their garments. Sebastian's shoulders relaxed and his smile became easy as he ceased his tense stance. "Just a little tired? You really are a miracle Eve." He chuckled to himself and to the priest beside him. The elderly man smiled in reply and nodded, his mouth puckering slightly as his white brow furrowed.

"So child, your name is Eve?" I nodded wordlessly, sinking into myself a little as I felt the gazes of both men fall upon me. "A fitting name for a woman so innocent and beautiful as yourself child. Eve, tell me, what is your purpose here?" I was at a loss for words, should I tell them? Should I lie? But lying would mean that I had committed another crime within the eyes of the High Elvalen Council. I took a deep breath, glancing over at the two priests and I immediately made my decision as I spotted the hopeful look on Sebastian's face.
