Have Faith In God

Chapter 1

Hello everyone!!

This is my first ever story that im writing.. or first story that I'm ever taking seriously lol..

I Hope you guys like it, it will not be very religious but there will be some religious talk in it :)

MALEEHA'S P.O.V

I opened my eyes and rolled over on my bed to see the time. It read 10:57.

" Shoot!" I exclaimed "I'm really late! Oh wait..".

I happily jumped back into bed. I was done with school, I would never be late for school again because I would never have to go again! You would've probably guessed by now that I didn't like school. I mean, it was fine but I met a lot of fake people there and was constantly bullied about my hijab. I considered not wearing it many times, but I realized I needed to have faith in God and everything would turn out well.

Just as I was celebrating sleeping in more (yes i know it's 11:00, how much sleep does she need?!) my 17 year old cousin Naila barged into my room. " WAKEY WAKEY!" she yelled.

Naila is the total opposite of me. She is so much more confident than me and prettier. I don't have a sister and Naila is pretty much the closest to what I would have as a sister. She's insanely annoying, but I love her.

" Ughh.. why are you here?" I groaned.

" Rude!" She said " Can't I come see my lovely cousin whenever I want? And plus it's 11:00 and all normal people are awake at this time."

" Lol I'm not normal then" I replied. " Let me sleep now."

"Are you kidding me! Today is like the most exciting day ever!" She said.

"Why what's today?" I didn't recall my mom telling me that there was something important today.

" I'm not telling you, come downstairs and our mom's will tell you what's up!"

I had no idea what was happening. I got and out of bed and told Naila to go downstairs and that I'll be down in 5 minutes. I walked into my washroom to make myself look somewhat presentable since my aunt was here. If it was a normal day and only my family was home I wouldn't have even bothered to brush my hair. It drives my mom insane. She wants me married really soon, and is always telling me to look nice 24/7 so if a random aunty walks into our house she can choose me as her son's bride. It's really stupid, I know. 

Let me tell you a bit about my family. I have a mom and dad (obviously) and 2 brothers. One older and one younger, and none of them whom I get along with! Other than that I have a bunch of other cousins who I have mixed feelings about. Some are ok, and some I can't stand.

For some reason, I feel like I don't get along with my family at all. They are all so annoying!My brothers are so weird and conservative. I've never told them any sort of secret because I know they will tell my parents. And as for my parents.. I don't know. Some days I'm good with them, some days not. They are not exactly proud of me. I'm an elementary school teacher, and they wanted me to become a doctor. They wanted me to be married with a child by now, and that hasn't happened either.

I walked downstairs and greeted my aunt.

"Assalmo Alaikum! How are you, and what brings you here?" I said.

"Oh you will be so happy when you hear the news. Me and your mother have been on this for so long and the day has finally come!" She said.

" What is it?" I was getting really anxious to know now.

" We have been searching for a possible husband for you for so long, and I think we finally found the one!" My mom exclaimed.

Oh god, here we go again.

" You've finished your studies so you have no excuse to why you cannot get married." Said my mom. "They're coming tonight at around 7, to come meet you."

" But mama, you could've told me!" I said. "Why were you hiding it?"

"Because I knew you would've automatically said no. So I thought I would wait, so you could actually meet them!"

"You will love this guy!" Said my aunt. "I've known his mom for so long, and they will love you too!"

"But-"

"No but's," Said my mom. "Give them a chance"

"Well you could've at least told me" I muttered under my breath. A few seconds later the doorbell rang. I glanced over to the security camera to see who it was.

It was my cousin Saba.
