Chapter 18-New friendships

I was talking to this guy at this party when I looked over and saw Grace beating the shit out of this drunken asshole. She stopped after a few and helped this girl up. I was curious and wanted to know what happened so I walked over to Grace and wrapped my arms around her waist.

"Grace?"

"Yeah?"

"What the hell just happened? Why were you bashing that guy?'

"Well you see, that guy was drunk and started messing with Maddie and I don't like that shit."

"Oh, well good job, uh, Maddie, are you alright?"

"Oh, uh, yea, I'm alright. Just a bit irretated, I hate people like that." Maddie answered truthfully.

"Are you sure?" Grace asked

"Yea, I'm alright. Uh, I think I should get going." Maddie said turning to leave

"Wait, can I have your number?" Grace asked

"Oh great, we've been here 5 minutes and my girlfriend already has a phone number."

"Shut up Sammy, you know I love you."

Maddie and Grace exchanged numbers and Maddie walked away. And Grace and me went to get drinks. About 20 minutes later I see Maddie run out of the house crying and I nudge grace to tell her what I saw. She looked at the door and bolted. I took off after her. We were running for a while and it was hard to keep up. Like damn, Maddie is hella fast. We were almost caught up to Maddie and when she came into my sight all I saw was a ball on the ground. And all I heard was sobbing.
