Chapter 3

It's been a week since I got here in the Philippines. It's really refreshing. It's like I can breathe properly. Like what Jake said we communicate with each other every day. He said that my parents are looking for me but they already stop coz they are sure that I'll come back at nagtatago lang daw ako kung saan, galit na galit daw si dad nung nalaman nyang di ako pumunta sa date na sinet nya at nawawala ako. But my mom freaked out when she finds out that I'm missing. Buti na lang wala syang sakit. Baka ma heart attack pa yun kung sakali. As of our studio many of our clients back out because I'm not there. But Jake said it's okay after all its "our" business not just his. I'm living in a condo near in my school; it's okay but not as big as my old condo. I'm currently finding some job. As much as possible I want to work coz I can't use my accounts coz my father will trace where I am. I have savings but I can't just use it I still need a source of income. Especially that I'm in his own school. I need an assurance na gragraduate padin ako sa maayos na school and unfortunately my father's school is one of the best school in the Philippines. Luckily I got a scholarship so there's nothing to worry, so basically it's still my father's money ang pinagkaibahan lang is pinaghirapan kong kunin yong scholarship na yon, without my names help, dati kasi nakukuha ko agad ang mga gusto ko basta masabi ko lang ang pangalan ko. But for now, all I need is to find a job for my daily allowance. I have to prove him that I can stand on my own. Even our studio, I don't want to get money from it coz it will be risky if my father finds it out and ayoko namang umasa kay Jake baka matrace pa nila ako pag sakaling magpapadala sakin si Jake ng pera. Also mom ayoko syang idamay dito.

Tomorrow is the start of my class. Naglibot libot na ko at medyo kabisado ko na. So what I'm going to do right now is to find a job. Well, I can be a photographer to since I got a background already. But I need to be low profiled. While I'm walking I saw a studio, saying they're hiring new photographer so went to apply.

*Knock Knock*

"Come in" I guy said so I come in.

"Good morning" I said and I smile. Well, I also got fake braces. To perfect my fake identity.

"Ano yon miss?"

"Ahm. I'm here to apply" I said.

"Ay. Tamang tama. Kelangan ka naming ngayon. Pwedeng ngayon ka na magstart? Alika sundan mo ako." Huh? That's it? No more interviews? Wow. They surely need a photographer. Maybe they got a project. Then he opened a door and the room is a mess, it was dirty. An daming pinagkainan, mga papel at tiring pagkain sa paligid.

"Okay. What am I going to do with this room?" I asked confusingly. Nakakunot ang nuo nyang tumingin saakin. Hindi naman to mukang background or baka ito ang usong background.

"Malamang lilinisin. Diba nagaaply ka?" WHAT?!!! HE THOUGHT TAGALINIS ANG INAAPLYAN KO? WOW JUST WOW!!!

"Excused me sir, as a photographer po and aaplyan ko." I said then he just laughs.

"Sure ka miss? Baka imbis na ngumiti yong client's sumimangot sila sa itsura mo hahahah!" What did he just say! This jerk. Me? The great Marie Stephanie Yvonne Real-Lim... ow I almost forgot that I'm ugly right now. But the heck with this guy. Professionalism ang babayaran sakin hindi ang panlabas kong anyo. Ugh!

"Excuse me sir. Hindi naman po ako magmomodel para lait laitin nyo ko ng ganyan."

"Hindi ka naman kasi katanggap tanggap para magmodel." He said while grinning widely.

"Aba't--"I didn't finish my sentence because someone interrupts us.

"Mike what's going on here?"

"Hey, Ivan you're here already? Akala ko my photo shoot ka pa sa New York?" Mike said. Yun ang tawag sakanya e. Hehe. Nilingon ko naman yong tinatawag nyang Ivan hmmm I think I saw him already.
