I smiled and looked back at Thomas, he was tall and a bit scrawny but still really strong, a hawk. When he shifted he was a very BIG hawk. Though he was like a brother to me.
“Morning Tommy, get up and get ready for school. And I told you not to call me Nina.” I grimanced at the last part.
“Hey Nina.” Three other sleepy boys walked into my room and plopping onto my bed.
I sighed. I hated being called Nina, only they were allowed to do it. Though I either went with Kris now.
“Come one guys! Please get up! We have to get to school.” My begging was completely futile.
“What school?” The boy with sandy brown hair and lean but with muscles looked at me.
“Blue Sky High! You know my school? Jeez Matt.” I smiled shaking my head. I looked at the four boys half asleep on my bed. They were like family, I loved them like brothers by now. There was Tom, the hawk, then Matt the Wolf while Liam and Brad (Short for Brandon) were both bears: Tall With all muscles, like seriously they looked like body builders.
Brad suddenly sat up, “Those bastards! I’ll have them pay for what they did to you!” His fists were clenched and I looke at him. “Don’t worry Brad you know I can take care of myself”. I smile and bent down to be eye to eye, “Plus, if we get to school then you can beat the crap out of them.” I raised an eyebrow at him.
I hear some grunts and “fine”s as they got up and went to get ready.
We arrived to school fifteen minutes late.
“There is no way in hell that I’ll go in and not make a scene!” I half yelled as I got off my black shiny bike. They all looked at me and laughed.
“Alright come after first hour for the break we have in the cafeteria.” Tom suggested.
I smiled, “Alright you guys go head. When you see boys drooling in some direction the you’ll know I’m there.” I winked at them.
“Alright see you Kitty Cat.” Matt loved that pet name for me as I loved his.
“Don’t call me that Matty Bear!” I laughed at his frown when I called him his pet name. Yeah they’re weird but I can’t say we are normal!
After 45 minutes of waiting I finally heard the bell signaling the end of the class. I took a shaky breath and calmed my self. In front of everybody I look and act completely fearless but honestly? I’m a scardy cat (the irony!). I walked to the school and straightened my spine.
“Here goes nothing.” I muttered and walked in.
