KRISTINA

I trained harder than any other day today. Did I want to get noticed by Coach? Yes. But even more I tried to do my best to forget this whole day. I don’t want to be vulnerable that’s for sure. I looked at the others, Liam was fighting the punching bag beside me and Brad and Matt were fighting each other on the rink. I smiled as they growled and laughed at their jokes.

Again I looked around looking for someone else: Tom. I stopped hitting the punching bag and turned around.

“Liam, where is Tom?”

Liam looked startled looking around trying to find his friend, “I don’t know, man I thought he was over by Brad and Matt.”

I gave a nod and started walking over to the rink looking for him, “Hey guys! Have you seen Tommy?”

“Nah Man, isn’t he with you guys? That’s what he said.” I nodded again and muttered a ,”thanks”.

Where could he be? I mean he seems to have disappeared into thin air.

The gym was dark because it was raining outside, actually there was a storm outside.

I felt my phone vibrating in my sports bra (yeah I know it’s weird but I need it close to me when I train so I put it there).

Hey im at home, sry for not telling u guys but I didnt fell good.

            Tom J

I showed the others, “hey guys I’m gonna go and see if he’s alright, I’ll see you at home.”

I walked outside into the rain, ugh, I had chosen today to not bring my bike and walk. This sucks. I made my way slowly walking under the rain.

I turned around, I thought I heard footsteps. Nobody there.

I shrugged and continued walking, again hearing the distinct sound of footsteps.

This time I didn’t turn, I just walked faster and so did the footsteps behind me.

Fuck, I’m in trouble.

I turned around ready for a fight, “Hey ass-hole,  come out already your too heavy to go unnoticed!”

A soft chuckle came out of the dark, “Why would such a young sweet girl as you be wandering around in a dark alley in a storm?” The voice was raspy and well, SCARY. I took a breath in and straightened my spine, “The same reason an old ugly man is outside annoying the hell out of the young girl.”

Another chuckle, “Awright then,” I cut him off.

“Come out.” My voice was commanding.

That’s when I SCREAMED.

Those eyes…

That mouth…

That voice…

Close your eyes and RUN the other way!

But I can’t, I can’t move…

NOW!

I felt everything snap into place, I felt my legs again and started running the way home as fast as I could, I kept my eyes closed hoping my senses would help me through this more than my human ones.

“HEY! Kristina? What happened? Are you okay?”  I felt him catch me as I fell against him. I was shaking with fear, tears continuously fell trickled down my cheeks as I fell to the ground while he held me.

“Hey, come on I’ll take you to mine so you can calm down a bit.” I felt his strong arms picking me up and holding me as he walked.

I don’t know how long I was sitting there on the couch, or how long it took him to bring me here. All I know is that I was drinking something warm and tears hadn’t stopped coming down. But I was safe, and something inside me kept saying,

You’re safe now, tell him what happened, he won’t hurt you.

Slowly I nodded and started the story of what happened.
