As soon as I got home I slung myself on the bed and let the tears fall down my cheeks. I felt horrible about what I said to Coach Ronald but it was the truth. He had never treated me fairly or even close to the way the boys were treated. But it wasn’t their fault, but I did feel jealous sometimes.

Shaking my head I went to do some of the homework I had (not that I needed to do it but it takes my mind off things).  This continued for about one hour until my stomach rumbled for the desire to eat something. So I headed towards the kitchen, it was all in black and white with everything overly modern, to be honest I liked the colors but it seemed too expensive. I kept looking around until I decided that I would make some scrambled eggs with sausage. I licked my lips and started on the food.

I heard the knock on the door, the boys!

Wait, the boys have keys!

I opened the door seeing someone I definitely thought I wouldn’t be seeing for a while.

“Hi James.” I turned around letting him come in.

“Hey Nina.” My body automatically stiffened when he said my old nickname.

“Kris, not Nina.”

I saw him lean at the door of the kitchen watching me, man was he sexy! NO! Jeesh Kris it’s just your hormones talking!

“Smells good, watcha cooking?”

“Look what do you want?” I turned to face him and crossed my arms against my chest.

“Why should I want something?” Ugh he is such a player.

“Look nobody shows up at my house without wanting anything. So spit it out already I’m starving!.” I narrowed my eyes.

“Oh come on I just wanted to see you.” He smiled a cocky smile and walked up slowly closer to me.

I took a step back hitting my back against the fridge. God his lips looked so kissable right now! I uh, uh oh god he is coming closer…

“Hey Kitty Cat! Oh-um.” I snapped out of my daze seeing James’s lips not even an inch from mine. I bushed furiously and pushed him away to turn towards the voice. Crap!

“Hey boys, I made dinner.” I smiled acting like nothing happened as the boys leaned against the wall looking at me skeptically.

Please, please don’t say anything!

Tom stepped up looking around between James and I.

“Are we interrupting something?” He raised an eyebrow and I let out a breath I didn’t know I was holding. He was teasing me.

“Hey look dude what are you doing in Kris’s house and why do you have a key?”

James looked freaking angry! Ha this was going to be good!

“Because we live here duh.” Brad passed Tom and walked over to the food. Typical.

“You what!?” James face was priceless, seriously!

I snorted, “They live here, my dad is always out and he want them to live here and keep an eye on me.” My eye rolled involuntarily at the last part.

As James and Tom kept having staring competitions  I looked for something to start a conversation with.

“So you guys don’t know each other, boys this is James, and James this is Tom, Brad, Matt, and Liam.” I pointed at James.

I turned to James, “Look I seriously would appreciate it if you could leave right now.”

“Alright I should go, bye.”
