I've started hanging out with Nathan a lot more. I never noticed that I had so many classes with him. I also discovered that he had a girlfriend not that it mattered but i was hoping that he didnt. As for me and Hayes it's been steady I guess. We haven't talked since the 9th grade and it's half way through sophomore year. We have 3 classes together but we naturally avoid each other, I don't try to avoid him it just happens. But today he sat next to me and I didn't think anything of it. The seats are always nearly gone by the time he walks into class.

About 10 minutes in I get a snapchat notification from Hayes. I look at it but I don't unlock my phone. I look at Hayes and he's completely pretending like he didn't just snapchat me. I grab my phone and watched the snap.

"Still don't like me Smith?" With a smirk emoji at the end.

I messages him back fiery. "That was never the case Hayes. I grew up I supposed you did the same but obviously not if you still have a childish crush."

I won because he left me on opened. When class was almost over I decided to say something to him.

"What is it that you want? To make me feel stupid again?" I asked turning to him.

"Not stupid but fun again." He said laughing while twisting his headphones around his finger.

"What do you mean fun again?" I asked genuinely confused.

"I mean how you used to be, before everything happened. You were fun, you were my friend. I lowkey need you back. Life has been boring without you, not gonna lie Tori." He said letting out a puff of air.

"Hayes I was never really your friend and you know that because you made that pretty clear. If you want a friend I'm sure you can find one in Hannah." I stood up and walked to my friends desk.

Hayes broke my heart once and I didn't do anything, not again.
