It finally reached lunch time. I was sitting at my normal table doing my normal thing which was starring at Hayes from a far. He sat with his football friends at lunch so we never talked. I told Mahogany and Sam about what happened in period one because Hayes barely ever talks to me, I guess him and Taylor were a level up the popularity chart then me.
As we were chatting something crazy happened, Hayes and his friend walked up to our table and sit in the only two empty seats.
"Hey Tori, I was um wondering if you want to come to my pool party tomorrow?", he asked I couldn't respond all I knew was that Hayes's friend Jacob was talking to Mahogany about something I couldn't hear.
"Hey earth to Tori", Sam said as he pinched my leg under the table.
"Ouch!!! And sure Hayes I'll be there!!"
"You already know your invited Sam" Hayes said as he walked away.
I felt my smile sink a little when he said that to Sam. Does Sam have something with Hayes that I don't?
"So Mahogany what did Jacob say to you"
"Nothing he just asked me if I was going which was stupid because I go to all their parties."
I felt a certain way that both of my friends were closer to my crush then I was.
