Chapter Six.

Sapphire's POV

[The next day]

I wake up to the sound of blasting music.

"Um, guys? What's going on?" I ask blindly, not exactly knowing who is in the room.

"It's your going away party! We can't let you leave us for the WHOLE summer without having a party first!" I hear Lynn say.

Oh joy...

"Alright, so if we're having a going away party, why is it at 6 a.m?" I ask, highly confused and very tired.

"Your flight leaves at 3. It's now or never, and after the beach yesterday everything went downhill. So, we need do what can while you're still here." Caleb states. I guess they're right..

I think back to yesterday and remember. After the beach, our apartment was almost set on fire completely. We started to smell the smoke, then walked downstairs.. luckily before the apartment on the floor below us was completely indulged in flames, the firefighters got there and put it out. Everyone is safe, and it's back to normal now, but we just decided to stay in and make cookies while watching movies. For a full 4 months.. Without my best friends.

"I feel bad having to leave you guys though. We've been through everything together and now I'm living our lifetime dream.. but it's not with you guys." I say, sadly.

"What's the point of waiting for us if you have the chance to live your dream? Besides, if Set It Off decides they don't need a bassist after Warped, we could bring our old band back. Don't wait for us though, you're better off with SIO." Jacob says, while smiling.

"I know, I just don't want traveling and the whole experience to tear us apart. We need to make sure to keep in touch." I reply.

"Bitch, you're going to be on the Vans Warped Tour, playing main stage almost every day of this summer, with a bunch of hot guys who will be drooling over you in seconds. You'll be lucky if I'm not blowing up your phone every minute!" Lynn said, making me laugh.

"Yeah, I guess you're right." I say, and then sigh. "What if they all use me? Like, 'Wow, there's a girl on Warped Tour, why not go for her?' and then just dump me at the end?"

"Sapphire, listen. That might happen, but believe me when I say that you'll be able to tell who's right and who's wrong. You're a strong girl. You'll be fine, and I know you won't let any body tear you down while you're living the summer of your dreams." Xavier states, making me feel better about this whole situation.

"And believe ME when I say this. If any person does do that to you, they won't be seeing their next day." Lynn says.

"Thank you guys. I'm going to miss you like hell.." I say, sad, but overall ecstatic over what's going on later today.

[8 Hours Later]

I'm just about finished packing my bag. We've already spoke to my land lord about the place, and how I'm going to be gone on tour for a couple of months. I walk out of my room, taking one last look at my apartment for about 4 months. I don't know if I can do this..

"Hey, Saph?" I hear a familiar voice say.

"Yeah, what's up?" I reply, trying to find who the voice belongs to and also where it is coming from.

"We bought you something." I find the voice, and discover that it belongs to Caleb, but was so far away I couldn't identify it right away.

"You guys didn't have to do that. I'm not going away forever, just for a couple months! Plus, I'll be back here in no time! I'll hang out with you all day on the New York date." I say.

"We know.. But we wanted to get you some things to help you through the summer! Caleb, you start." Xavier says, motioning to Caleb. Oh joy...

They pull out a wrapped box, and hand it to me.

"Again, you didn't have to do this," I say, while unwrapping. I notice that it's a vans box, and I smile.

"You guys..." I say smiling.

"Finish opening them!" Lynn says.

I open the actual box, and they're the Hi Rise Pro Classics. I've wanted these since the day they came out!

Caleb hands me another box.

It's a Joker, Harley Quinn, Riddler, Robin, and Batman Pop! vinyl figures. Before I can say anything, Jacob begins to speak.

"They can be your buddies on the tour. You know, to remind you of us. They're from all of us, but Lynn came up with the idea."

I run over to Lynn and hug her.

They hand me some more boxes, which contain some new skinny jeans, lots of socks, and some more tank tops and band merch. I thank everyone, and then everyone piles into my room to help me finish packing.

I load the new supplies into my suitcase, and sigh. 4 months without this place.

"What am I going to do without you guys?" I ask to the group.

"Well, you could always watch a new Netflix series." Caleb says.

"Perfect. What should I watch though?" I reply, asking the whole group.

"Let's scroll through Netflix!" Xavier says.

We scroll for about 10 minutes, until I find 8 series. "That'll be enough, right?" I ask.

"Yeah, 2 a month? You'll be fine." Jacob says.

My alarm goes off, the one I set to remind me to leave for the airport.

"Can you guys drive me?" I ask. "I don't want to go alone."

"You'll never be alone. We're coming with no matter what." Xavier smiles.

We finish my suitcase, check the apartment one last time, and pile our way into the car. We listen to music one last time, for 4 months, and sing as loud as possible. We make our way to the airport, say our goodbyes, and soon enough I'm on a plane.

The plane ride was as boring as you could imagine, and took longer than expected. Once I got to the destination, which was Los Angeles, I made my way to the meet up spot for all of the bands.

I get there, wearing a white "Basic Just Won't Do" t-shirt, a pair of loose black shorts, and white vans with my gold "Love" necklace. I looked around, and saw Cody Carson waving me over. Am I really ready for this?

Maxx's POV

I look over, and see Cody waving somebody over.

"Who are you waving over?" I ask him.

"Our bassist, Sapphire Tyler. You didn't get to meet or see her, so now you'll get to do both.

I look to my left and see a girl dressed pretty nicely, with purple hair. I have one thought.

She's stunning.

Hello! Yes, I'm back to writing. I'll try to update as often as possible, but school's pretty stressful so my writing can either be less often and be good quality, or quite often and horrible. Anyways, I hope you guys liked this chapter!
