Chasing after a Fire

Chapter 3

Marshall's P.O.V

As I see Chase sitting on the blanket with the picnic (I know I spelled it wrong in the last chapter) basket in the middle of the blanket. I also saw Red Rose's in a vase next to the basket as there were a couple of lit candles to light it up as I walk up and sit on the blanket, "What is this for Chase?"

"It's for me and you... Just the two of us and no other pup." he said boldly as he smiles.

"Well I am hungry so what did you pack for us to eat?" I asked curious about what I smelled in the basket.

"Its your favorite." He said as he pulled out two steaks cooked exactly how I like them.

"Thank you so much Chase!" I said as I start to eat mine.

"Yup." He said as he started to eat his.

I continue to eat until I finish my food then I look up at him and smile as he looks away, wait is he blushing? Why would he be blushing at me just smiling? But I think it's sweet that he made this all just for me... I have to pay him back in one way or another.

Chase's P.O.V

I have to tell him how I feel. It looks like he might leave soon so I have to tell him now. But I can't I'm to scared, I'm such a chicken. I see him get up and walk over to me and sit by me as he then smiles more as I look at him,

"Marshall..."

"Yes Chase?" He asked.

"Um... I just wanted to tell you that i... I.... I love you..." I say as I look down.

Marshall said nothing and then I look at him and the next thing I know I am sitting up against the tree that was next to us and Marshall was on my lap as he pulled me into a kiss,

"I love you to Chase..." He said as he the pulled me into another kiss.
