The Hope

Marshalls P.O.V

I feel hot tears fall down my cheeks as i turn and make a mad dash towards the look out, as i see Skye prancing along on the ground as i tackle her and throw her into the ground...

"Why?!?! Why did you kill him!" I yell

"Cause he did not need the happiness when i couldnt get mine!" She said with a giggle as she stood up

"Ill,kill you!" I yell as i jump at her

She moves as i slam against the wall of the lookout, She then giggles and walks off as i yell,

"Where is his body!!!"

"In the field, he is laying there lifeless and my it is a sight, He looks like he is sleeping" She said as she continued to walk away as i run.

I get to the field that she told me and thats when i see him... He was just laying there... I walk as slowly as i get closer and closer to him, i cry more as tears fill my eyes more and more as they roll down my cheeks and i cry hard as i am almost to him just inches away as i fall to the ground...

"I cant... I cant i cant i cant...." i say as i hit the ground with my paws.

I here a slight groan as i look to see Chase breathing but just a bit, i run over to him and look at him as i examin the blood that ran from his mouth and nose and i touch his paw as he groans in pain,

"Im so sorry Chase.... I shoupd have been there for you, i should ha-" I was cur off by him saying something weakly.

"Its... I am so glad to see you again... Thats why im still herw is for you..." He said with a smile as i start to cry.

"I was stupid to fight with you over something like that!" I say as i hold my paws...

"Its okay, Marshall i have to ask you something..." Chase said weakly.

Chase's P.O.V

Everything hurts.. My body, My paws, My legs.... Evertything.... But i am glad Marshall is here so i can tell him how i feel and what i want to ask him,

"Marshall... You give me what no other pup could.... You give me Hope for a better life, and a better start....... And every moment i see you i think of the time we spent together. And all the great fun we have had and i just want you to know if your happy....... So am i... Even facing death i can smile cause i git to know who you were.... But my big question is......" i fell quiet as i breath and close my eyes for a second... I hear Marshall crying and holding back from a melt down...

"What is it Chase?"

"Marshall... Will you.... Will you.... Will you Marry me?" I ask as i hold up a scaf tha i pulled from inside my collar...

"Chase.......... Of course i will!" Marshall said as he leaned down and kissed me as i kiss back weakly

I smile as i look at the sky... " Well thank you for my hope on getting me to the next life.... I love you Marshall........"

Marshall's P.O.V

Chase went quiet as he stopped breathing and his eyes closed as i look at thw scarf he put around my neck and i let out a Scream of Anger, Sadness and every other emotion i just felt as i break down and cry laying down next to him Hoping it was a dream.... But it wasnt.... The next day it was his funeral and we burryed him near the swinging tree and we put up a plak in his memory... I set his and mine favorite toy on his grave as i try tobhokd back from crying i say my,goodbyes and head for my pup house...
