Vinny P.O.V.
“Here we are!” I say excitedly. She gives a small curtsy and I laugh as I enter the studio.
“Ah, Vinny, Nick, Madison, Geo’s waiting for you guys in the studio. And who’s this?” Amelia, the desk- clerk person inquires. We all just think of her as a cool aunt.
“This, Amelia, is Kahtea. She just moved here form Australia and I thought that I’d show her around ICON since she dances, too.” I say, closing the door behind me.
“Hello there Kahtea! I’m Amelia; welcome to ICON!” Amelia says cheerily, shaking hands with Kahtea.
“Thanks! It’s really nice!” Kahtea says, looking around the waiting room/ entrance hall room.
“Yo Vin, we’re going to meet Geo; we’ll tell him that you’ll be there soon with a visitor.” Madison says as him and Nick walk to a different section of the studio.
“Alright, ready for the tour?” I ask, motioning towards the door that leads to the opposite wing. She nods and we begin our tour, laughing and joking around. She is so pretty and funny, god, how is it possible? We finally arrive at the room that the ICONic Boyz dance in, and I swing open the door.
“And last but not least: the room that us ICONic Boyz dance in. these are the guys that are trying out with me for ABDC. There’s Jason, Mikey, Thomas, and Louis and then there’s Nick and Madison, but you already know them.” I say, pointing to each of the guys and introducing them.
“Well hello there.” Mikey says, stepping towards her. I glare a little at him and he suddenly realizes that it was the girl I got dibs on and he tones down the flirting and looks down at the floor.
“Ah, you must be the guest watcher today! I’m Geo, the owner of ICON and these guy’s coach/ second dad.” Geo says from behind the stereo. They shake hands and he looks at me with an approving look, as if to say I picked a good one. I blush a little and look down at my shoes, but Kahtea didn’t see.
“Hi, I’m Kahtea. I just moved here from Australia, as you can probably tell.” Kahtea says and he laughs.
“Yeah, I can tell. So, do you dance?” he asks Kahtea.
“Yeah actually, I do.” She says back.
“Well then, let’s see.” He says, catching us all off guard.
“What?” Kahtea says, confused.
“Let’s see you dance!” he says enthusiastically.
“I though you guys were supposed to be practicing, not making me dance! Plus, I haven't danced in eight months, ever since I tore my ligament in soccer! I mean, it's good now, but I don't know any routines!” She says nervously.
“Here, I have an idea. Watch the guys do their routine, then you do it after in place of, let’s say, T-money. No offense Thomas, it’s just that you have the routine nailed, and let’s just say that the rest of the guys could use some practice.” Geo says as Thomas nods and we all pretend to be hurt by his comment.
“Fine.” She says grumpily and we all clap. I couldn’t wait to see her dance.
“Okay guys, ready? One, two, three go!” Geo says, playing the music as we all start dancing. After about an hour of dancing, we finally get a break for Kahtea to get ready.
“Okay, good job guys! Now, time for the real fun: Kahtea, go on out there.” Geo says with a playful smile on his lips. She rolls her eyes and walks over to T- Money’s spot and I couldn’t help but smile.
“Good luck, I know you’ll do well.” T- Money says nicely to Kahtea as he walks away.
“Ready, Kahtea?” Geo calls from behind the stereo.
