Surely today is the day when a great responsibility was to be given to someone capable of it. Lucy and Mona were the competitors for this in girls side while Matthew, Randy, Nathan and Stuart stood from boys.
"Attention students of Beverly Medical College", the speakers roared and everyone got still with there hearts beating louder as the announcer continued speaking. But Lucy she was standing at the corner of her class hidden from everyone so that if she loses she can run away instead of listening to pity talk. Judy, Jane and Kate searched everywhere in the hallway for Lucy but then hopeless they stood near the lockers and started praying.
"This year is one heck of a class we got. The campaigning done like never before. The enthusiasm is remarkable. With this said I, Christopher Robert, the Dean of BMC would like to congratulate Stuart Robin S/O Robin Peterson as Boy Class President .."
Lucy almost stepped towards the door to run when the inevitable happens.
"Lucinda Carter Hales D/O Carter Clark Hales as the Girls Class President".
Lucy couldn't believe her ears that she heard her name announced. She was in the midst of confusion when 3-4 girls from front came running and hugged her. Then the whole class came in congratulating her.
"There you are! Come here Girls Class President", Judy and Kate came cheering and hugged Lucy.
"See i told you that plastic won't ever win after all you have me and Jane with you", Kate says to Lucy and held her firmly by her hand.
"Well yes Thankyou Judy, Jane and Kate. It's all because of you all", Lucy tried to make Judy happy.

Stuart Robin like most of class students is a transfer student from another state. He's got a dark roughed look, he is so tall that Lucy has to strain her entire neck to meet his brown eyes behind those big square spectacles. He's new here and just like Lucy never expected to win in a new town where the rest of 3 competitiors had bright chances.
"Congratulations to you too", Lucy tried to be as quick as she could since she usually can't last talking to a guy more than 5min.
"Would you like to go to the DC for our badges now or later?", Stuart asks
"Sure. The earlier the better", Lucy sounded so excited that even Kate whispered to her to calm down. They went to the DC where they were given a rule book again with there badges and the duty of distributing the tickets for the New Eve Party.
Both of them went into the Hall and announced the New Eve Party tickets news. The class was very happy and quickly gave affirmative gesture and agreed to take them the next day in morning.
"Dad! Dad! I won", Lucy jumps in the car screaming.
"Oh didn't i say you will certainly win. Lets celebrate your victory tonight", Mr.Hales says proudly knowing that his baby girl is finally learning to step out of her comfort zone.
"You stupid little idiot!! You left me again in the hallway. I waited for you for like past 5min. Do you realize how much these shoes hurt me? Ugh you just won an election and your tantrums have started", Stella obviously pissed off sits in the car. And the rest of the way to home they both argued over it.
"Honey, your pussy cats are fighting again in the car".
"And your pussy cat is sitting in the library tearing your comfy chair cushion again", Mrs.Hales replys while walking out to the car to bring her daughters in.
Making Lucy and Stella stop fighting always required a look from Mom only. Dad never tries to stop it cause then he has to choose a side which he can't.
"Mom it was all her fault. She just won a stupid election only!"
"What? You won Lucy? Oh my gosh sweetheart i am so proud of you. Let's celebrate tonight", Mrs.Hales hugs Lucy tightly.
"Hello! Mom! Are you even listening to me?"
"Honey, I'll give you 2 scoops of chocolate ice-cream now stop arguing and hug your sister"
Stella just moans like a cow standing.
Lucy runs and hugs Stella like a baby.
"Okay okay. Congrats you dork", Stella hugs back.
The family has a lovely dinner out.
