Chapter 4

Sonic woke up,he could hear shouts and barks outside. "Share it!" Shouted a deep voice "Hunt your own food!" Shouted a voice that wasn't so deep as the other. Growling,Sonic walked out of his den and onto the ice ledge. Dark and Mephiles were fighting over a squirrel. The head was inside Dark's mouth and the tail was in Mephiles' mouth. The two looked like they were playing tug of war. "Listen to me I'm the beta! NOW SHARE IT!" Dark yelled,while holding the squirrel's head. "I may be an assassin a lower rank then you! I'M YOUR BROTHER SO DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO!" Mephiles yelled,while holding the squirrel's tail. They both growled,they then started tugging on the part they held to try and take the squirrel from the other. "ENOUGH!" Sonic yelled. The two instantly stopped,the squirrel fell to the snowy ground. "DO ME A FAVOR SHUT UP AND SHARE IT WHILE I GO HUNT MORE!!" Sonic ordered,his pupils narrowed while looking at his older brother's. Dark and Mephiles hesitate,they then shared the squirrel. Sonic growled. The young alpha ran down the snowy mountains,in search for prey.

Sonic walked through the woods,keeping alert for any movement. He instantly stopped,he saw a squirrel sitting on some tree roots while nibbling on a nut. He crouched down,Sonic slowly crept towards the squirrel. Before he could pounce,a brown blur snatched up the squirrel killing it in the process. Sonic growled. In front of him was a light brown male wolf,holding the dead squirrel. "A runt in my territory,a runt that doesn't deserve to hunt here." The male wolf mocked him. Sonic's eyes narrowed "I'll make you regret saying that!" Sonic growled,with his claws unsheathed. "Oh really now?" The male wolf mocked Sonic again. The male wolf tossed the squirrel to the side,he then pounced at Sonic with his claws unsheathed. Sonic moved to the side,the wolf flew passed him. Sonic didn't know how to fight,this was his plan to get the squirrel back. Every time the wolf pounced at him,Sonic would dodge. The male wolf growled,he crouched down low ready to pounce at Sonic again. The wolf pounced,Sonic moved to the side. The wolf's claws left a tear in his left ear,Sonic winced in pain. The wolf hit a tree,Sonic grabbed the squirrel. Sonic then dashed off towards his territory. He looked behind him,the wolf wasn't there. On his way home,Sonic had killed 2 more squirrel's and 2 mice. He ran up the snowy mountains,carrying the 5 pieces of prey by the tail.

"Sonic what happened!?" Dark asked shocked,when he saw the tear in Sonic's left ear. "Oh a stupid wolf took my squirrel so I took it back." Sonic said,he placed the prey in the small circle that was made of small ice rocks. Dark and Mephiles took a mouse each. Sonic took a squirrel,leaving 2 squirrel's left in the small prey pile. Sonic lay on the ice ledge,eating the squirrel. It was still morning,very early in the morning. Sonic walked inside his den after eating,he smiled. Standing in the den was the Vampire Alpha X. "X why are you here?" Sonic asked,he walked up to the vampire. "To teach you a few fighting moves." X replied,Sonic smiled. X then turned himself into a wolf,he was the same height as Sonic. (X has the power to do anything). "I'm going to pounce at you,when I do lift up one paw and touch my throat." X said,Sonic nodded. "Make sure your claws are sheathed because this attack can tear open your opponents throat." X told him. Sonic kept his claws sheathed and X pounced at him. X's wolf fur was a deep cobalt blue. As X collided into him,Sonic swiped his paw across X's throat with his claws sheathed.

X smiled at Sonic,he then changed back into a vampire. "Good work you learn fast." X praised him,Sonic smiled. Believe it or not,it was still morning when X had finished the training session. "I must go now,I'll see you soon Sonic." Was all X said,before he teleported away. Sonic walked out of his den,he walked onto the ice ledge. He sat on the ledge. He looked at his brother's,Dark and Mephiles were teaching each other better hunting skills in the middle of their camp. 'I'll teach you how to fight soon' Sonic thought,while looking at his brother's.
