Chapter 7

Sonic opened his eyes,his vision was blurry. He rubbed his eyes with a paw. His throat was covered with a bandage. He looked to his side and smiled. Curled up sleeping peacefully beside him was X. The vampire Alpha was still in his wolf form. Sonic scratched behind his ear,his movement woke up the sleeping vampwolf. X opened his eyes,he smiled when he saw that Sonic was fine. "How do you feel." He asked. "I feel a lot better than before." Sonic said,he smiled and X returned the smile. Sonic was happy that X was with him,he was secretly in love with the Alpha vampire. 'I wish I could tell you that I love you.' Sonic thought,he turned into his Mobian form and X did the same. X had heard what Sonic had said,since he could read the minds of those he loved. Yes X loved Sonic since he laid eyes on the young werewolf when he was a pup. Once Sonic was in his Mobian form,to his surprise X had pulled him into a kiss. X's eyes were closed as he kissed Sonic. Sonic blushed,he then closed his eyes and kissed back. When X pulled away Sonic was still blushing. "I-I-I-" Sonic stuttered,he was cut off when X kissed him again. "I love you too." X said,when Sonic had broke the kiss for air. Sonic didn't know how X had found out that he loved him,Sonic hugged X. The vampire Alpha smiled and he hugged Sonic back. As Dark walked into the den,the two new lovers instantly stopped hugging. Dark bowed in front of Sonic. "Do you wish for any of us to hunt." Dark asked,he was covered in bandages. Blood was seeping through the bandages on Dark's body. "You're not fit to hunt. Who's fit enough to hunt?" Sonic asked his older brother. "Honey and Fallenshadow." Dark replied. "Tell them to take some of X's pack members with then while they go hunt." Sonic ordered. Dark nodded,he walked out of the den limping a bit. Once Dark was out of sight,Sonic and X were back to hugging each other. "I can't stay much longer,but if you want to we could meet at the bottom of the mountain tonight." X said while hugging Sonic. Sonic smiled "I'd love to meet up with you tonight." He said while hugging X. The vampire Alpha smiled. X let go of Sonic,when a golden hedgehog with messed up quills walked into the den X frowned a bit. X stood up and faced the gold hog,this hedgehog's eyes looked like they could hypnotize you since his eyes were red spinning spirals. "What do you want Fleetway?" X asked his younger brother. "The patrol have just returned with plenty of prey for this small pack and everyone's ready to leave." Fleetway told his Alpha. X looked at Sonic then back at Fleetway "give me a minute." X said,Fleetway nodded and he left the werewolf and the vampire alone in the den. Once Fleetway was gone,X pulled Sonic into a kiss. "Meet me at the bottom of the mountain tonight." X said when he pulled away,Sonic nodded and smiled. X walked outside,he unfolded his black bat wings. Sonic stood on the ice ledge,in his wolf form,watching his love leave. X and the other vampires took to the sky,flying back to the vampire camp. 'I can't wait to see you tonight.' Sonic thought,the young Alpha walked over to the fully stocked prey pile. Sonic's pack members had shared a bear between them. On the pile was all kinds of animals squirrels,mice,birds,eagles and hawks since the pack live in the mountains,ferrets and rats. Sonic pulled a hawk from the pile,he slowly ate the prey while thinking about X. When Sonic had finished,there was only a pile of bones left. The young Alpha started to chew on the bones,since he was bored.

The full moon had risen to it's highest point. Sonic smiled,he jumped off the ice ledge and walked to the entrance of the camp. Dark and Mephiles were guarding the entrance,they looked at Sonic. "Where're you going Alpha Sonic?" Dark asked. "I'm going out for a bit." Sonic said and he walked past his brother's. Sonic slowly walked down the snowy mountains,the young alpha jumped onto an ice rock. Sonic raised his head and let out a quiet howl. He then ran down the mountains,excited that he was going to see X. Sonic was at the foot of the mountain. He looked around,X was nowhere to be seen. Sonic jumped onto an ice rock that was at the foot of the mountain. The young Alpha sat on the ice rock. Sonic raised his head and he let out a loud howl,since there was a full moon tonight. He could here his pack howl with him,even though they were still in camp. His pack's howls soon died down,at the bottom of the mountain Sonic continued to howl.
