(Hailey's P.O.V)

"HOOOOONK!"

Hailey jumped at the sudden sound. Her head turned quickly and her eyes drifted toward the sound. Like everyone else, her eyes were set on Mr. Olsons 60s bomber, in which what people called it for its brown color and old look.

Whoever was inside ducked immediately, avoiding contact from people around the area. The persons head popped up, them making eye contact with her for a split second. She could have sworn it was those crystal blue eyes she'd once known.

The crystal blue eyes that mesmerized her every time she looked at them. For a moment, she actually thought it was that silly guy she knew. She shook the thought away, forcing herself to believe it was just Mrs. Olson. She pushed aside the fact that Mrs. Olson swore never to drive that old junker.

Her heart ached, resuming the walk to the local bar, that had been there since she moved in with her father. She took one look back at the old car, before turning to finish her walk to endless alcohol.

(Ricky's P.O.V)

Ricky let out a deep sigh in relief, letting the breath out of his lungs. She'd seen him, made direct eye contact with him. Yet she denyed it and kept walking. Just seeing her hurt like that killed him.

He was fighting the urge to jump out of the car and show himself, but at the same time he felt it was best to stay hidden tell the end of his trip. The more it happened, the worse he felt, anger toward himself starting to build up.

He looked in the rear view mirror, glaring at himself. He let out a deep sigh.

"You fucked up Ricky. Big time." He mumbled to himself, before giving himself a mental pep talk, and resuming his drive. He hoped not to see her again, in worry of her catching him, when she's in a less depressed mood, or even her finally realizing she isn't seeing things.

He watched her mope in to the local bar, where all the man whores and prostitutes hung out. He really felt sorry for her. He remembered her telling him directly she would never go in to that cursed place. It was just too much for both of them to handle.

He stepped on the gas peddle, resuming his 30 minute drive to the tiny little grocery store, that was in eye view, but was merely the size of a pea. It looked like westley hannigans truck had broke down, so he'd have to sit there tell it was fixed.

He let out a groan in frustration, hoping this would be an In and out trip, but it was clear it wouldn't be. And to top it off, he was in one of the worst places he could possibly be. Right in the eye view of the person he let down. Hailey Edwards.
