(Hailey's P.O.V)
Haileys eyes gazed up at Rickys crystal blue ones. She was positive she was hallucinating, but unlike her other hallucinations, he wasn't babyfaced. Instead of his cheeks being all pale and chubby, he had a tight jawbone and high cheekbones like Mr Olson did.
He had raccoon like makeup on, and his hair was long, hidden under a beanie. His makeup had streaks going down his face, and he had his famous side smile plastered on his face. She reached up, touching his cheek, studying his face. She still wasn't quite convinced he was real.
She tried to speak, but the tube down her throat was preventing her from such actions. Her mouth was dry, and her throat burned. She once again tried to speak, Ricky catching it this time.
"Go get a nurse."
His voice echoed in the room. It was deeper than she remembered. She watched her father leave, Ricky staying at her side.
"Your going to be alright Hailey." Ricky whispered, before a nurse came in, pulling the tube from her mouth gently and replacing it with a nose breather. She handed Hailey some ice shavings, Hailey starting to gnaw on them.
She finally was convinced it was him. She glared turning away. Apart of her said to hug him and never let him go, but the other was angry and didn't want anything to do with him.
The part of her who was angry with him, started clouding her mind with things she wanted to say to him. She turned to look at him, his eyes truly sad and full of regret. He leaned in, hugging her, but that otherwise didn't mean she hugged back. In fact, she pushed him off.
"Hailey I'm sorry." He whispered.
She now knew she wasn't hallucinating back at the bar. The guy in Mr. Olsons car was not only Ricky, but Ricky knew about her condition. He watched her walk in the bar. He sat there in that car, for 20 minutes and still didn't come and stop her.
In fact he made eye contact with her. He saw in her eyes how much she needed him. Yet he ignored that too. She couldn't even look at him at this very moment.
(Ricky's P.O.V)
Rickys eyes saddened as Hailey pushed him away. He felt awful. He knew he let her down, and it would be difficult just to talk to her at this point.
"Hailey, I'm sorry."
He managed to choke that out, getting a nasty look from her. She just turned back around ignoring the words that he truly meant out of his mouth.
He got up, regretting what he did 8 years ago. He could've still had her on his side. He could've even had her more than a friend. He longed for such love and care from her, but her mind was made up. It would be hard to get her to forgive him.
