He was being cautious around her, and every time she felt his eyes on her, she looked up, hoping to speak silent words to him that would comfort whatever worry he had battling inside of him.

But Steve never glanced at her long enough for her to do anything.

Vision, on the other hand, admired her pleasantly. Although she was wearing her brother's shirt, and her face long with exhaustion, she knew he didn't mind. It made her want to look up at him and return the gesture, but all she seemed to focus on was Steve. And Wanda found herself wishing Steve would speak to her, even it was to tell her she needed rest of that she should eat something; at least he'd be speaking to her.

"Aren't you going to tell me you like my hair?" the twins huddled together on Pietro's bed, sharing a bowl of grapes. She stopped eating to look at him, then brought her hand up to pull down at his hair. She turned his head to the side to inspect the back, and then did the same to the other side.

"Hmm, not bad," she told him, smacking him lightly on the cheek. "Now this is the Pietro I remember."

Wanda grabbed a handful of grapes and stuffed them into her mouth, letting out a muffled laugh as her brother watched her. She nudged him, pushing the bowl onto his lap and getting off of the bed. Her feet padded along the steel floor as she made her way to the bathroom, and she heard the light chuckle that slipped out of her brother's mouth.

Their playful banter quickly sunk down into the floor when Wanda felt Steve approaching the glass wall. Her tongue froze over with anticipation, and she gave herself a quick look in the mirror before stepping out of the bathroom.

Pietro was already standing in front of the glass, his posture ready in defense.

"I was wondering where you two ran off to," he said, and Wanda took an eager step towards him, but she was met with Pietro's arm reaching out, grabbing her arm.

"We are stuck here until Emma returns with her mutants, and until then, I want Wanda to relax. She will need all of her strength if we plan to join in on this fight." Wanda's fingers gripped Pietro's wrist as he spoke, and she felt her heart tingle every time Steve looked down at her.

"Yeah, um... rest, yeah that sounds good. You deserve some rest," his eyes locked on hers, and the energy between them sizzled through the glass; she was sure he felt it too. "I actually came down to see if you wanted to take watch with me."

It took her a moment to realize that Steve was talking to her, and when her head lifted, she found his eyes joyfully beaming at her. Wanda's fingers untangled themselves from Pietro's wrist, and she held back the glee that desperately wanted to reveal itself across her face.

"Take watch?" Pietro asked, disrupting the silent excitement that was happening between Wanda and Steve.

"On the roof, It's my turn to take watch."

"Oh," Pietro answered, and he turned to his sister, and Wanda let out a breathy laugh, bringing her hand up to his hair and pulling it lightly.

"I did notice," she said to him, and she peered up at Steve, then walked over to the door and walked out. As Wanda met up with Steve in the hall, she swore she caught Pietro giving Steve a smirk, but when his eyes fell on hers, he immediately straightened his expression. "Who left you to keep watch?" she asked him, following him down the corridor.

"Natasha," he replied, digging his hands into his pockets. She could sense his discomfort, even in the way he walked; there was a trace of nerves that she could almost feel brushing off of him. "Actually, she was going to ask Tony to take watch but he took a trip back to New York, so he said no."
