[Alexis' POV]In school I couldn't even concentrate a little bit, because today I'd actually go to the 1975 concert with the cutest boy in the world. Mr. Dannie, my Math teacher, even had to remind me a few times to pay attention to class since I had smiled at Jesse rather than focusing on these dumb questions. Nobody really cares about algebra, right?
During lunch recess, I tried to finish one of my essays while everyone else was caught up in talking again. I was just really getting into it and wrote down a few sentences, when I felt Jesse leaning over to me. He poked me in the cheek with his nose but I tried to ignore him.
"C'mon" He smiled and did it again.
"No, I need to get this assignment done, Baby." I sighed, but I felt how he didn't move an inch.
"No you don't." He disagreed and kissed me on my cheek softly.
Quickly, I looked over to him and then decided to forget about it. I mean, it was just one essay, right? When he realized that he won, his hand went around my head and turned it towards him to kiss me. I had gotten more than one or two telling looks from other girls about kissing him in school. On some days, it even felt like I was marked as a whore when I held his hand. When I looked at him. I'd like to say fuck it and ignore all these girls, but I couldn't. They were too present, the whole time and well the only escape from this was the boy. A bit of a vicious circle.
Mom yelled from the kitchen "When will you two be home again?" As Jesse and I were about to leave at five pm, two hours before the concert would start.
I walked the few steps from the hallway towards her, still packing my purse. "Don't think it'll be later than like twelve. But Jesse's with me so I am safe, right?" I gave her a kiss on the cheek and she looked at me with an expression I couldn't really understand. "Take care, Alexis."
I nodded and said goodbye, before walking to the front door again.
"You got the tickets, Babe?" I asked him and he confirmed it while leaning against the door frame. Oh christ, he looked so gorgeous.
When we waited in front of the venue (there were already other fans who had been there for six hours or so), we sat down and leaned against the brick wall.
"You remember like the time when were sorta making out once in a while but not officially together?" I asked him and he nodded, smoking a cigarette. "I've felt so numb the whole time, I just listened to fallingforyou."
For a second, he got really serious as if he'd blame himself that I felt numb. But then a smile crossed Jesse's face. "Hopefully they're gonna play that tonight." He said and leaned his head against mine. I had played him the songs a few times and actually caught him buzzing it.
"What else do you want to happen tonight?" I purred a bit softer, so that the others around couldn't hear it.
"Good question, Girl." Jesse acknowledged and took a puff from his cigarette. "I think we'll see." Again, alone his voice made me want to have sex with him. Alone the thought about New Year. Just then, the line was suddenly moving forward and we jumped up to get into the venue.
While Jesse was buying us some drinks, I stood in like, the fifth row or something, but it was quite nice here.
"Hey" I heard a voice from besides me and turned around to see a man, maybe twenty something with a beer in his hand and a smile on his face. "I'm talking to you" He said, but not annoyed or angry.
I blushed "Uh sorry, I am actually-"
The stranger interrupted me. "What's doing such a pretty girl all by herself here?"
